Just about what I expected
Before buying this product I had been looking around for equipment to DJ with for quite some time. I settled on the CMP-500 mostly because I did not have a computer, and the CDJ and USB inputs would allow me to practice without a computer and expensive software. The product itself is average. There aren't any bells or whistles but it is perfect for someone who is starting out and does not want to spend alot of money. Because I had read reviews before buying, I was aware that the "scratch" function does not work as it should. Rather it pauses the song and does a subtle scratching noise which unless you have practiced sounds awful in any song. My only real complaint has to do with cueing with the CDJ's. Even if you cue a song perfectly, 30% of the time you go to cue in a song it skips forward past where the cue point is. (Ex. Cueing a song to drop at 0:57, cueing the song in, having it start at 0:57 but it immediately skips forward 3-10 seconds in the song) I burned CD's just for the purpose of DJing with them so I found this to be very annoying. I have not had this problem while using the USB inputs. The only other complaint I have is the instuctional "booklet." It is a page folded in half with little to no information on how to use the product. I had to watch youtube videos and otherwise find the information online to address any questions I had.All in all this a standard product. I plan on buying a more vesitile mixer in the future, but the CMP-500 was a good jumping off point. Knowing what I know now, If you own a computer I would suggest buying and using a mixer. Granted they typically are more expensive, mixers are better in the long run.

MOST DISAPPOINTED
MY ORDER CAME ON TIME . BUT, ONLY TO REALIZE WHEN I SET IT UP THE LEFT SIDE OF MIXER IS READING CD AN WORKING , THE RIGHT SIDE ISN'T READING ANY CD,NOT WORKING. I AM MOST DISAPPOINTED. I AM IN TRINIDAD I SPEND ALOT OF MONEY IN COSTOMS NOW AMAZON RESPOND TO THE PROBLEM I HAVE TO SEND IT BACK I WILL END UP PAYING MORE MONEY IN SHIPPING AN RECIEVEING THE ITEM THAN WHAT THE ITEM ACTUALLY COST. AM STOCK WITH THIS ITEM AN AM VERY MUCH DISAPPOINTED,

The truth is of quality, button panel is very striking. Perfect for use in scratch mode, Its blue LCD screen is average but is fine for me, Your disc player reads all formats, mp3, etc. .... And its 2 USB inputs are excellent. I love, 100% recommended!

l can say it is manageable, but makes some unnecessary stops you cant understand why. but the cds will play well in another device
