quick shipment. good price
i bought the 12ga wire. Fun to play with. Not sure what to do with it yet but I'm going to buy more different temps.

It's real but it's memory isn't very straight.
After messing with it over a couple days the memory is not in a very 'straight' position. It twist almost 2.75" when heated a bit. No where near the point it should be adjustable. There are also a lot of powered on the sample that when first waved with the yellow edge of a lighter flame (which on 2mm wire wouldn't conduct nearly enough in a second to hit the memory point) caused a flair up (not near the core of the blue flame which 'can' hit 1900C - messing with the memory takes like 500C). No damage done, kind of fun but unexpected explosions are never good. I think it was a powder or residue left behind that could have been used too lubricate the die used to draw the wire. Or just Ti dust from the drawing. Not sure, either way it flared up. It's alright, but I bet there are better samples at this price tag.

Works as promised
When I heard about this metal I knew I wanted to buy some. But I thought it was going to be super expensive because I read it was made from platinum instead of titanium. This metal was used in the moon rovers tires because of its shape memory. When i microwave water for 3 minutes and put the curled up nitinol in with the water it resumes its straight shape. You can even use electric current like in an oven and it will resume its shape. But if you take it over 100 degrees Celsius it will form a new shape memory.
