If you are in any way interested in hobby distilling, this book is an absolute must-have. I’ll preface my review by saying that I distill solely for floral essences, essential oils, and hydrosols that I use in soap making, but if your interests include distilling small-batch alcohol, this book is equally as invaluable. I appreciate the author’s wide-ranging knowledge about distilling, all of the great photographs and images, his user-friendly terminology to familiarize even the most novice reader to correct terms of art, his recommendations for equipment, and most importantly, his respect for the various laws around the world regarding small-batch distilling! I cannot stress that enough, friends!! The joy of distilling will be extinguished rapidly if the ATF’s finest shows up at your door because you are engaging in this hobby in an illegal way!! Long story short, know what the ATF requirements are, especially for those of you here in the United States (27 Code of Federal Regulations is your friend!!). Free legal advice...you’re welcome! You will turn to this volume again and again, and I cannot recommend Mr. Moller’s book enough. You won’t be disappointed!

Not only is the content through in all aspects, but it is also a very beautiful book. Beautiful photos, quality paper and amazing layout. WELL DONE!

It's and interesting look but I was hoping for more

I speak fluent German and get a chuckle out of the structure in this book...the author obviously thinks in his native tongue and transposes those thoughts into a second language. But that being said, good information here and a great intro to distilling!
