Brilliant, great as a bathtoy!

great fun for the kids, 2 rods and loads of fish and things with a magnetic part that the magnet from the fishing line on extendable rods touch's and you can reel in your fish..can be used anywhere we have used in the bath in the hot tub in a bucket of water and you don't need water even.

At £22 this set is fairly dear but you do get a lot of sea creatures, 3 rods (which actually work hooray!) and 2 nets as well as an inflatable little pool to put them into We used them in the paddling pool today but could easily be used in the bath or the inflatable provided. Each of the rods extends and the line reels in and out - I was impressed. Whilst it doesn’t feel like it will last forever, it certainly withstood the boisterous mits of my 8,3 and 1 year old. Each animal has a magnet attached and motor skills can be fine tuned either with the rods or the nets. These Kept my kids entertained for 90 minutes today, it was bliss. Definitely recommend - my only issue is the price. *** not quite sure what the “stretch” criteria is above. All of the fish are plastic and the rope on the rods is not stretchy so please ignore the star rating for that bit ****

The fishing rods are too flimsy

My 3 year old grandson is obsessed with big bad barry the fish aswell as fishing games, I've brought him a few recently but they were small and had tiny rods then I found this one and bought it as part of his birthday gifts, he was so excited as soon as he saw this game and it became his new favourite toy within seconds of opening it, it's so much better than the rest, instantly the big bright coloured fish grabbed his attention and then the large three rods grabbed the attention of the adults and that was that two adults and a child were happily playing for a hour, the fish are large enough not to be lost in the furniture and more importantly they are too large to swallow and the inflatable pond slips under the sofa easily, the nets are good quality and sturdy and the rods are extendable and have working reels that the children love, they are sturdy too the handles are a hollow hard plastic it doesn't look like a good deal of time was spent on the appearance but I can honestly say it is worth the money and will last a lifetime, both my daughters have now purchased the same set and all of the grandchildren love them

Amazing! Kids love it! Super safe and durable

I was dubious about this as looks cheap, however for the price I thought would give it a try. So glad I did, it is amazing. The rods are well made, reels wind up and down well and the telescopic feature allows easy storage, on the end is a magnet hidden inside a plastic worm. It is weighty enough that it settles from swinging well and allows children to hook their fish. There are also nets to land the fish. This fish are a cheap plastic with a screw in mouth however there is a good variety of fish and sea creatures. They feel strong enough that they will withstand my daughters games and adventures. The whole set comes in a perfect draw string storage bag. I don't intend on using these in water, as my daughter wanted for role playing not bath fun. I would say the length of line is decent enough to have a good game, however is long enough to wrap around a neck, so for younger children if not 100% supervised I would shorten the string by cutting or putting to a safe length and tape to the rod so can be extended when older. I will be ordering my nephew a set for his birthday and very tempted to order a second set for my daughter so she has more, although there are rather a lot already. Happy fishing

I bought this item on sale for my 4 year old and 2 year old as a little elf on the shelf present. At first I was like wow this is gonna break in an hour...but my kids played with this literally all day. We played with them in water and out of water and they survived the entire day. One of the rods came apart one time but I was easily able to pop it back into place. I was very impressed by how engaged my kids were and how they managed to see another day.

The rods are fragile, but my kids still love bathing with the fish/net. The bag is a great way to store their other toys as well. If your kid is going to be up all night crying that their rod(s) broke, best to move on. If they enjoy the simple things and are used to breaking things like my kids then I'd suggest it.
