Pricey but good. App works well.
I have no comparison to other digital tape measures so I can't say whether it is on par with what other ones have to offer. I was hesitant after reading the reviews since i have an iPhone 11 Pro but it synced easily. (I will say it wasn't obvious that it connected easily. I could never find "Pie" under devices but when I went back to the app, it said it was connected and it was.) Also not sure what is so hard about the app (maybe it has changed since those reviews).I love how the app visually shows exactly where to measure and provides extra written description if you need more clarity. The actually measuring tape seems to unsnap from the base somewhat easily so I have to try a few times before I get the measurement but that also may be user error and come with practice.

Simple to Use, Well Designed
This is a simple device to use, but it’s very well thought out. The ability to measure different body parts (even add parts to measure), to measure multiple people, and to store it all in a simple app is very impressive. The quality of the display on the device stands out. It’s surprisingly crisp and high resolution. The measuring mechanism also feels smooth and well made. I’m particularly impressed by the Apple Health integration, which is the main reason I purchased the device. The only thing I’d like to see is Qi or USB-C for charging and a slightly nicer case (the plastic looks and feels low quality compared to everything else about the device), but it definitely feels sturdy. I’m excited to find this. It will make it easier and fun to to keep track of my progress, which will be motivational to track in Apple Health.

Great smart tape measure
Got my PIE delivered, very easy to use. Not sure why no one else thought about this before ! Checked against couple other traditional tape measures and it's very accurate. App for this device was available on both Apple and Andriod. Best part is it's free app, no additional charge. I share this digital tape measure with rest of my family members. You can have one PIE but have your friends or family install their own apps and create their own profile. Battery lasts long enough and it tells you how much battery is left over on screen. Battery re-charge took less than 30 mins for my case.

Very helpful to have it record values directly to my phone
I hate writing down the data I collect about my fitness, and I want to have data electronically for graphing etc. This device is perfect for that and does the graphing over time. The device itself is very easy to use and so is the app. I'd say I made it harder than it really was. It might help for Bagel Labs to post a video of how to use the device and app.

Brilliant tape measure, app ok
The tape measure itself is great. More consistent tension, easier to read, and no need to enter figures.Setting up the app was a bit of a pain initially, but once it’s done it works fine. I’m not interested in most of the contents of the app, I just use it to send measurements to Apple Health and then look at them in another app.

App needs work.
Works great, gave 4 star because of app, it needs work on graphing progress and being more user friendly.

Just buy a $5 tape
Good* Easy Set Up.* Data transfer is easy.Bad* Hard to get tape just right, tends to twist, and slip.* Get a lot of variation in reads (not sure why). The device is pretty easy to use and set up. I don't remember any issues with the app or the set up, except it wanted information that I didn't think it needed but then it does do some other calculations behind the scenes. I had no problems with the app working as designed.Where the problems for me came in as the tape is pretty narrow and it tends to twist pretty easily when measuring larger areas (waist, hips, etc.). I also find it awkward to use. The tape tends to come loose when measuring forcing you to restart the measure. While the app works, the UI is a little bit clunky and it's easy to drop a second measurement on top of a prior measurement. That problem will probably go away with use. You can delete the measures but it's not obvious how to do that. The UI of the app only has so many measurements on the main screen but you can add custom fields. The biggest problem is that I'm getting a lot of variation in reads. There's always some variation, you don't measure in exactly the same spot, or something, but I've gotten measures that were 2-inches from what I would expect (13" on the bicep vs 15.5"). Redoing the measurement seems to fix it but something is off sometimes. All in all, it's not worth $79, not even close. Buy a $5 tape and enter it in a spreadsheet or another fitness app. It'll serve you better.
