Very sharp!
Had one of these years ago so was pleased to see same design. Cuts vegetables with ease, slices and julienne style. Love it.

Great slicer, poor stand
I have had a borner slicer for over 15 years. Unfortunately, it broke. The replacement is just as good. My gripe is the stand. The old stand was slim and held all the parts in a compact and easy to use manner. I tried the new one in the old stand and, of course, none of the parts fitted. No choice but to buy a new one. However, having bought the stand, I had to buy another part to hold the two julienne cutters. The whole stand takes up about five times the space the original borner stand did. It is not very stable and is not as easy to use. I am very happy with the slicer, but not the stand and julienne cutters holder. The stand and cutter holder seem very Heath-Robinson. For a product that is not cheap, the system needs a thorough redesign.

Great quality product
Perfect for its use, German quality for longevity as cheaper thin mandolines tend to break with constant use.Not the most simple model, but highly customisable for use. This makes it not the best model for beginners, but if youre buying a second mandoline this is the one.Cant wait for easy near-instant raw salads

Simply brilliant.
Even as a caterer with a plethora of expensive equipment I love this, especially as it is so easy to take away with you for offsite locations. Uniform slices every time and I love the new guard when not in use. I’ve had one for too many years to count but lost my last one in a move. I made the mistake of ordering a v slicer that was exceptionally cheap but boy was that a mistake and it went to a charity shop. If it doesn’t say Bornier don’t buy it.

Takes a lot of practice, doesn’t just glide and bladed comes off the rails frequently
I have only used this today And so far am not too impressed. I’m going t have to watch a video or something because the instructions are dreadfully unclear and I can not work out if I have three or four cutting sides or how t make potatoe chips or julienne. The potato and blade jet derailing and when cutting thick slices, considerably more h elbow grease was needed to get the slice and A load of mushy potato got caught in the tip of the V . One of the inserts appears to have only one cutttig side . Not as simple as I was expecting from reviews.
