USB 3.0 Hard Drive Enclosure for 3.5 "SATA Hard Disk and Supports Hard Drives up to 6 TB

I have some old hard drives lying around that I have from upgrading old laptops to SSD drives. I use quite allot of data and have bought a couple of enclosure caddies that are very similar to this one. It was delivered with the USB cable, enclosure and instructions in a box with a sleeve on that shows the product. The enclosure back slides off and then you insert the drive which is pushed onto a SATA connector inside. The back goes on and you're done, it's that simple. I've been using mine to transfer some data off a system to back it up and reset, transferring data to take it elsewhere and other stuff and it has never failed me or given me any issues. It has an LED light on top which lights up when connected. Overall I am very happy and if I need to change the drive it is as easy as 1,2,3. Solid and very easy to use for even those who aren’t technically minded.This was given to me to test and offer my honest and unbiased opinion on. The views here are my own. Thanks for reading

I upgraded my MacBook Pro to an SSD, so I had my old 500gb hard drive going spare. I looked at buying another hard drive to use for my Lightroom photos, but then I came across this little gadget and it has saved me at least £75! It works exactly as it says and there is no wobble from my hard drive within the case at all. It is made from a good plastic material which is slightly brushed if that makes sense and I have every confidence that if it is dropped on the floor, the hard drive within will be protected.The case itself is very easy to open, just slide out then attach your hard drive to the SATA connection within and then simply slide to close; job done! The cable it comes with seems okay, I'm no techie, but it works fine and there is a blue light on the front of the case to show it is working.I am very satisfied with the case and would certainly recommend this product. Great service from Amazon too.

Nice build quality let down by its very lacklustre performance. With a nice quick SSD (Read 550MB/S Write 470M/S) it struggled to write at 100MB/S. When I tested the same SSD in a  Inateck 2.5 Inch USB 3.0 Hard Drive Enclosure External SATA HDD and SSD Case - Optimized for 9.5mm 7mm 2.5" SSD, Tool Free (FE2002)  it worked blisteringly fast >400MB/S write speed with consistency and reliability. Whilst the "Orico" after writing a 40 ~ 45 Gb file started disconnecting about every sixty seconds. I recommend you avoid this product and look elsewhere

It has a nice rubbery texture on the case. My HDD snuggly fits into the case and it feels secure within it. It's a nice screwless design and it came with a USB 3.0 lead. It does not need any external power to be used. In comparison to other screwless cases, this is by far affordable and great!

cheap and nasty . move the cable with your arm and it loses connection . I bought this in July its now October . where the cable plugs in looks like a battle ground I can no longer plug in the cable . its a good idea but as I said cheap and nasty don't waste your money on this . mines now gone to the great recycle bin in the sky

Bought the product less than a month ago and it stopped working with my intended drive. Tested with a spare (still didn't work, and then tested both 2.5" drives in another machine (working fine).

used this to make a back up of 2 windows 10 32 bit systems and transfer the back up to 2 new windows 10 64 bit systems. worked amazing well and have this unit fitted with a 500 GB HDD so future backs are possible ...

Great little case. This is the second one of these I have purchased. I use it regularly to backup customers laptops and PCs before reinstalling. Always been reliable and very easy to install or change hard drives. Simply slide back off and unplug drive.
