Compact Catan Carrying Case by Citadel Black - Fits Catan 5th Edition and 5-6 Player Extension, Hard Plastic Traveling Case with Shake-proof and Quick Setup Design, New Version With Bags Included

Just received my case today! When I first tried to fit it all in I couldn't get it to close. I had to go online and look up how the pieces were supposed to fit. I subtracted a star because the cutout for the cards was only big enough for the resource cards so I had to put a rubberband around the development cards and leave them loose. I will try cutting the foam myself to make room for them but that's annoying. Photos other users shared looked like the opening was bigger. There is also no cutout for the sand timer and I dislike the idea of loose items at all. Overall it is still handy and I'm happy to toss the big boxes. I didn't see any better options. But if they had put hard foam on both sides with cutouts for all the things it could have been perfect! I am a little worried about the durability of the cheap plastic clasps, but time will tell about that.

I really like having a case to keep everything organized and easy to take along places. We played this game a lot and the box was starting to wear. I didn't like how the building pieces didn't stay in the lid so I rearranged the hexagon pieces so that I was able to fit 4 of the bags in those pockets. The other two bags I put behind the stack of resource cards after I stacked them on their side instead of laying them flat. The resource card pocket didn't have an easy finger hole to lift them out so laying the cards on their side helped get them out easier as well. The only thing I couldn't fit in the case was the rule book. It might fit though if you are willing to fold the direction booklet.

It does all fit... The original Satan game & the 5-6 player extension!- I made a cut to the foam & turned my bagged game pieces sideways to make it all fit a little better.The must have for Satan players who want to keep their game & it's entirety in one spot, dry, in an easy to carry case that locks without lugging around 2 boxes that could open when tipped dumping your game in a puddle. Perfect for getting it to game night while it's raining. Just Grab & Go!

So its not much smaller than the Catan retail box, but everything in the basic Catan Settlers set fits, it will protect the pieces in our luggage when we travel on family vacation, and the retail box will stay pristine at home. Check out the instruction video + card and you'll assemble it quickly. I tri-folded the instructions so they fit too. I would probably add a larger ziplock to hold all the small road and settlement piece bags together in the slot the lid, and maybe another ziplock for the large cards, but otherwise seems this will work great.

As advertised, everything for the basic CATAN game AND the 5-6 person expansion fits into the case. By folding the instruction booklet, that fits too. I hated tossing the CATAN box, but this takes up a lot less closet space plus it makes it easy to grab for game nights away from home.

Huge fan of the game. Ended up getting the expansion and with taking the game to different friend's and family's homes to play, its so convenient to have this case. Super compact and easy to store and retrieve the game. If you like the game, you have to have this if you travel to play it. Fits all the pieces except for the rules from both the game and the expansion (even though it says it doesn't fit the colored cards that tell you what resources build what, you can still fit them into the case). Highly recommend.

This Catan carrying case is very sturdy, yet compact for traveling, and helpful for protecting our game pieces. We found that by placing a ribbon beneath the cards it was easier to remove them without bending or tearing.

Prefer if it could hold more expansions.
