Erotic Poems

Oh my goodness, to purchase any writings like this is rare for me but I learned an important lesson. Reading E.E. Cummings should never be done without paper in hand. This kind of poetry and art cannot be fully appreciated without holding the book in your hands. Digitally transferred poetry is nearly empty of meaning, like reading a billboard as you drive by. Hold this type of work in your hands, it will be much closer to your heart!

It is a great selection of his poems with erotic themes. But it's really just that, there's no extra material - not, in my opinion, that it needed one, I say this only in case this matters to someone.If you ever liked a poem by e. e. cummings, even if you're by no means a fan of poetry - in that your knowledge is very limited, and most of it seems incomprehensible - even then it's very likely you'll enjoy many of the poems in this collection, because they're short and accessible to the casual reader. And they're sexy and funny, or just superbly beautiful.While I have no objections whatsoever to this edition, my only gripe is that in the whole of Kindle Store I can only find 2 books by e. e. cummings (this one and The Enormous Room, which is a novel). Whatever is stopping the publication of digital copies... COME ON! Maybe it's a geographical limitation, they don't sell it in the Brazilian market, who knows... but I'd love love love to have many titles from cummings.

This collection of poetry is remarkable. Cummings' style is unique which adds to the playfulness of many of his poems. It is rare that you read something that makes you feel this beautiful simply because you are female. My god, he loved women. Many of the poems are incredibly erotic (she says fanning herself) but many are fun and playful and curious and wonderful. His sketches are really good - yes many are erotic but independent of this, they remind me of other more commercial artists of his generation...very stylized and / or angular. I'm going to try and find a few in print.If you are in love, buy this collection and read to each other. Sometimes, people are pretty lousy at expressing how they feel or how to say sorry - I'd think that if a man simply read one or two of these poems to me, I'd be a goner and be his forever. :)

What a wonderful book. This is the first of the poems I have read from Cummings and although I don't feel like each one spoke to me, I am so glad I read the collection.The poet is an amazing wordsmith and image maker. His style enhances the strange way he often makes these pictures appear.While it is true that, at times, he lost me, with his form and punctuation experimentation. But, even in his most experimental poem, I usually found at least one expertly placed compounded word or stabbing emotion.And the subject? Love? Sex? Cummings will amaze you. You will mark so many of these poems and return to them.

My own fault but my daughter wanted e.e.cummings poem books and i didnt pay attention to the title haha this book has LOTS OF ADULT ILLUSTRATIONS! ooops!

Come on, what else can you give this collection? Many have tried, but only E. E. Cummings could compare a woman to a car in a way that women found even sexier than men. You can taste the sensuality when you read the words out loud to some of these - you don't even have to comprehend their meaning (of course, it's much much better when you do dwell on the meaning).

It takes more than just one time to read this. It is eclectic in every way possible. It makes you think either because you don't get it the first time or you just needed to read it a second time

I first encountered E.E. Cummings in high school and long ago bought his collected poems. This specialized anthology includes his drawings. No one will assign this book in high school, but it sure is fun.

We received our book damaged, torn, bent and dirty. We are very disappointed; appreciating that the book is supposed to look a little distressed, but this is taking the pass!
