Q: How long does the battery last?

I don't know exactly. Long enough for my kind of work, but mainly, as I wrote in my comment, I prefer to use the pen connected with a wire because the blue tooth is not perfect.

Q: Can I store the scanned text inside the pen itself or must I lug along my laptop and connect the pen to it before scanning?

Hi Dropspun, I used this product. The unit doesn't store scanned text. You need connec it to laptop through cable or bluetooh.

Q: Can this device be used to copy lines from an ebook?

Hi, We are very sorry but it cannot be used to copy lines from an ebook. Only over a sheet of paper

Q: can it read just english? can it read korea, chinese.. and so on

It supports 130 languages including Asian languages such as Chinese, Japanese & Korean.
