Level, Magnetic Torpedo, Shock Resistant (43-511)

This is a great little level! I love how it is magnetic because it is very helpful when trying to level something it can stick to (it is a weak magnet but it works). It is quite small making it easy to handle and very versatile. It is easy to read and use. This is really an essential tool to any homeowner. It's pretty fool proof and works way better than any phone could ever do.

I like the size of this and can hold it in one hand and it is light weight. Markings for the measurements are easy to read and are well laid out. It has been very handy in small tight spaces and for carrying around on belt to take quick measurements. The level works pretty good also. It is well made and durable, heavy material on it. I would recommend this to others and I would buy more if I need more later.

I recently wrote a review on Stanley's 24" magnetic level. I extolled it virtues and went on and on about how great it was. It is a fabulous product, but this one is even better. The magnet is unbelievably strong and this is a great little level for those small spots when a longer one just won't work. Stanley has the magnetic level thing figured out. Terrific product for a terrific price. Highly recommend.

Great torpedo level for your toolbox. It has good build quality and durability. This lives in my tool bucket that I use for renovation work, so it takes a good beating. The level bubbles are accurate and the straight edge is true. My only real complaint is that the magnet is pretty weak. I put this up on a metal bathtub and just the slightest bump will throw it off. If you need it to stick to metal and do anything but sit there, look for a stronger magnet.

Magnet works well and it is easy to read.

I would have loved one of those super long levels, but I didn't want to deal with the hassle of storing it. I wanted a level for small projects around the house; this fit the bill. I opted for the cheaper Stanley model over some of the more expensive brands, and I'm glad I did, because this works great. It's a cute little size, so if you need it for some huge furniture/construction project, this may not be right; but for me, I've been able to use it to hang a knife bar, frames, and level out an IKEA book shelf. All in all, very useful tool, and stores easily in my tool pouch.

Works very well. I got it out of the box, placed it on my countertop and saw the bubble was off. I thought I had a bad level, then I remembered gravity doesn't work selectively, and I realized my countertop is not level. the magnet is handy, but it also means this item does not have any side worth using as a precise straight edge. Luckily, squares are not expensive.

This Stanley 43-511 Shock resistant torpedo level will last you forever. It is the gold standard by which all other torpedo levels are measured by. Your Father had one, his father had one, now you should have one! It is small enough to fit in your catch all draw in the kitchen so you can level off your fridge and it can go onto your leather work belt to the job site and you can build a house using it. It is that versatile and that important. What guy can go through life with out keeping a something level about them?
