Great matrix ps4 not so friendly.
I bought this within the month and it's a perfect product. Deserves the 5 stars. But the ps4 does not play nicely with it. I believe the problem is the auto detection in the ps4. So I have a 7.1 setup on TV1 and a 2.0 stereo setup on TV2 and when the ps4 detects the normal tv first I have to play around with the matrix to get a video on the 7.1 system which usually ends up being me changing the TV2 to a separate input on the matrix then power down the matrix and turn it on with the 7.1 system only. Then add the 2nd tv. I have also tried the manual audio switches on the matrix and the ps4 don't care it just smirks and laughts. Overall my chromecast, Apple TV, and PS3 play well with the matrix and it works great just beware the ps4.

Multiple Gaming Consoles used in two different rooms
Ok so this application is not for everyone but if it helps someone that works for me. I purchased this HDMI switch for the purpose of having 3 gaming systems located in our family room to be used there or in my sons bedroom one room over. This allowed us to keep our PS4, PS5 and a Nintendo switch in our family room running one HDMI cable to his room allowing for him to play any of the systems in either room. The gaming systems are plugged into the switch and one output to the family room TV and the other output to his bedroom TV. So while we stream movies or TV in the family room he can play any of the systems in his room with no need to move or transplant the systems location. We have the added benefit of being able to check in at any time by just pressing the remote and see what he is playing. The only negative we have noticed is when we switch sources on our TV it may create a slight blink or pause on his side, but by no means a deal breaker in our book. This application is made possible by the fact the wireless controllers on these systems all work flawlessly even 25' away from the systems through a wall into his room. The remote to change sources on the HDMI switch does need to be pointed at the switch to changes the source . Hope this helps .

Awesome Product
This item was as described in the description and it was delivered on time. the only issue I notice is when i am playing my PS5 there is a flickering on the TV and before that i have to unplug the HDMI cord for the ps5 to show on the TV but other that that it works fine.

Works perfectly, good value for price.
Ok, I very rarely write reviews but felt I needed to do so for this product. I replaced a much more expensive HDMI 4x2 matrix switch which the OREI HD-402, primarily because I wanted EDID control.Very pleased with this purchase, and unlike some other reviews I've had no issue with the auto EDID switch setting (1111). Auto setting worked perfectively - i.e. it automatically used the lowest video/audio resolution setting of connected output devices. But I use the OREI to force 1080p 7.1 output regardless of lower resolution connected devices, something my previous $300 HDMI matrix didn't permit.Bottom line, the OREI works as advertised at a very affordable price relative to other similar featured HDMI Matrix switches.

Doesn't work for PCs/Laptops
Set up was simple enough, but the problem was that it would not switch between the inputs all the time. I had 2 laptops hooked up to this, with 2 monitors. I wanted the possibility to split screen or dual screen anytime I wanted. In theory, this device should have worked, but unfortunately when I switch over to another laptop or try to go dual screen to another laptop the input would only sometimes pick up. And simply switching back and forth trying to get it to recognize wouldn't fix the problem. I would have to result to powering off the device, unplugging monitors, etc, to finally get it to register. If you are planning on using this for computers/laptops, don't bother. And yes, everything was updated; Drivers/Updates/etc. Running Windows 10 for a reference. For those looking for a similar experience to mine, here is what I ended up doing. I used a USB external video card, connected to IOGEAR USB3.0 switchers, connected to USB3.0 Hubs, which then connected to each laptop. Each monitor is connected to an external video card, which is connected to the IOGEAR USB switcher, one connection of each USB switcher is connected to a USB hub, which is connected to a laptop. So Connection 1 of USB switcher 1, and Connection 1 of USB switcher 2 is connected to Hub 1 for Laptop 1, and Monitor 1 would be connected to USB switcher 1. For more PCs, connect Connection 2 of USB switcher 1, and Connection 2 of USB switcher 2 to Hub 2, which would connect to Laptop 2. The hub is needed since I have other USB devices connected to each laptop. If you have plenty of USB ports, you can take the Hub out. It's a bit convoluted, but it works almost flawlessly, allowing me to split screen or dual screen at the push of a button.

hdmi switcher
This device works well. DRM lock gets in the way and severely limits it usefulness.
