Makita Lock Nut Works Great
I bought this to use with my Makita 4 1/2" grinder. This lock nut holds the rubber sanding pad to the grinder. The rubber sanding pad is separate, and it is Makita 543036-3 also sold on Amazon for a great price. This lock nut It is 5/8" size as described, and genuine Makita quality. Works great.

This thing fits right in and holds the rubber pad just like it was made for it. Okay it actually is made for it and there really isn't much you can say about it except that it works as intended.

Makita... the price on this? Got to have with the rubber sanding disk which is very useful. The spanner wrench doesn't fit in the holes but you can make it work.

It's the missing link to having a Makita 7" rubber backing pad, don't know why it's not provided with the rubber backing pad when sold by Makita.
