New Made Item: Simply put this is the very best reproduction M1942 helmet available anywhere. It is exclusive and has been in development for over a year. It was copied from an original. Germany entered WWII with the M-35 helmet as standard issue (WW1 M-16 & M-18 helmets were also in use). In 1942, Due to wartime demands, the M-42 design was put into production because it was significantly quicker to manufacture. The rolled edge of the M-35 shell was eliminated, creating an unfinished edge along the rim. This edge flared out slightly, along the base of the skirt. The elimination of the rolled edge expedited the manufacturing process and reduced the amount of metal used in each helmet, without sacrificing protection. Let us explain precisely why it is the very best M42 reproduction helmet available on the market today: The shell is constructed of 1.8mm steel. The shell is large (size 68) and has the correct M1942 flared edge as well as proper pressed steel ventilation holes. For added authenticity we stamped a German wartime four-digit code at nape and ET68 over ear. The liner comprised of soft tan (cream colored) genuine leather that, just like the originals, will turn brown with age, in correct eight finger configuration with central drawstring and an M1931 aluminum liner band that is maker marked, dated, and size stamped! Liner size can accommodate head sizes 7 1/4 (58cm) up to 7 51/2 (60cm). The all leather chinstrap has a black exterior with tan interior, comes with metal studs, correct aluminum buckle, and connects to the helmet with proper "D" rings. The finish/color is "smooth gray-green" or "field-grau", we worked hard on getting to color correct, which is what typically ruins a reproduction helmet, so hard that we spent 2 months testing formulas to until we got it right. Perfect Replica That Is Also Great For Mix And Match Cosplay etc
Exactly what I was hoping for. As far as I can tell this is a perfect replica of the real thing. Good adjustable fit, durable, and comfortable. Naturally this is great for reenactments, which I do not do, but it is also perfect for cosplay and photo-ops, which is what I do, and this will mix and match quite well, especially with science fiction outfits...Especially the gray and black Star Trek First Contact, DS-9 uniforms. Looks really sharp, with perfect color coordination. Also obviously, great for keeping from clunking your noggin while working if you choose to wear one for that. Be advised that I had to sign for them, so no doubt I'm on some stupid list now. Buyer be ware. Other than that, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Nice replica
Has a nice weight and feel. Looks good sitting next to my originals. Doesn’t have a cheap appearance as so many out there do.Very satisfied.

Cheap price, but high quality.
Great quality reproduction, the paint is definitely scratch resistant from the cover I put on it (hooks are plastic but scratch the paint off another company helmet I have). Also, I have a cover on it that's designed for M35, M40, and M42. When I first put it on, it felt like the cover was too small because it's a very tight fit, especially since the M42 flanges out more at the bottom than previous helmet designs. It just means the cover will fit better and not move around.

Not a Pennie's worth of difference from this replica and the one from 80 years ago.
I love the helmet, it is a great replica, great quality and very historically accurate. Great for reenactments and display one of my favorite things in my collection. Next is the ww1 m16.

Heavy
It's heavy and getting shot in the head by a airsoft bullet will pop your ears (like it did to mine) its beautiful though. Amazing product also idk how but the leather adjuster thing inside just takes all the heat from my head and hair and traps it in the helmet so my head is constantly warm which i think is weird but i mean its cool as heck lol. Way better than american helmets
