Best cable remote out there
Exceptionally solid construction and smooth operation. The Wolf Tooth remote is fine for my gravel bike but this is much more substantial and will be better suited for my Nomad. Worth mentioning the Wolf Tooth uses a single bolt through the middle of the lever pivot for the entire assembly, so unclamping or removing the remote means the whole thing kind of comes apart. PNW separated the clamp mount with a separate small bolt, so it’s a little less hassle to remove the remote and not have to reassemble it each time. If you’ve never had a dropper or installed one before, this comes into play when you need to pull your post out of the seat tube for any reason...you need to unclamp from the bar to generate enough slack in the line/housing for it to come out. If you have to reassemble the remote each time, well, that’s just an extra few steps...

Very nice Lever, but not really $70 nice compared to what came on my stumpy
It's well made and all aluminium with a bearing instead of a bushing and seems well made honestly. However, for $70 + it's really not that much better than what came on my 2019 stump jumper or 2020 levo. The lever on my stumpy and levo isn't all metal, the housing is but the lever is what seems like a nylon like they make pedals from. And the actuation between the two levers feels almost identical. The Level on my stumpy has a return spring as well so if your dropper doesn't have a strong spring in the mechanism it will always come back from being pushed in.I do think this Loam Lever is a more robust offering and should last longer and the build quality is great. But $70 is a lot of money for what you get over some other offerings. I think $50 for these remotes is more reasonable, even for the wolftooth. Though I haven't tried that one admittedly.I bought this lever because I bought a PNW Bachelor 150mm dropper for my Turbo Levo because the stock dropper was about 1/2 inch too tall as there was no more insertion room left to put it into the frame further and the bachelor has a shorter inerstion length. However, After installing I noticed that the Bachelor takes WAYYY more force to actuate the lever. I checked and double checked that it wasn't the cable and the cable was silky smooth, it was the dropper's mechanism just takes a lot of force to use.I figured maybe they designed this Loam Lever with a better pully ratio to make it easier to push in but after installing it I don't notice any improvement sadly. I even used a brand new cable in the housing and lube the inside of the housing. When you have the Bachelor dropper and the Manic dropper out of the bike and just try to use your figer to actuate the mechanism on the dropper port its self, the Manic is so easy and smooth where the bachelor I can't even actuate it with my finger, its too hard to push in.Not really impressed with the two PNW things I've bought so far to be honest. But they seem made sturdy and should last so I won't take away too many stars.

Great upgrade for Fox Transfer
This has been a great upgrade for my Fox Transfer dropper post. The large surface area is much easier to find on rowdy sections when you are bouncing around. My thumb also appreciates the soft pad. I ordered orange because it matches perfect with my blue and orange Ibis Ripmo frame. I have recommended this to several friends who have also purchase it and are happy. It was easy to install and I really appreciated that they included the cable. The packaging was outstanding.I also ordered the Wolf Tooth components remote at the same time for comparison. I ended up sending the Wolf Tooth back because (1) the touch point is machined metal grooves, so it is very rough on the thumb when you are not using full fingered gloves (2) it did not include a new cable like the PNW (3) I thought the functional design of the PNW was better. It was also a bit odd to me that the wolf tooth was just shipped in a bag with no real packaging to keep it from getting damaged in shipment.I am really enjoying the PNW dropper and am glad I made this upgrade. I only gave it 4 stars for "Value for money' because it, like all dropper remotes, seem over priced to me.

High dollar 3 stars because of ridiculous price., trying not to return it.
Overpriced ! Not sure I can justify the cost, but it's definitely of the highest quality and performs accordingly. I wish I had bought the 25 dollar knockoff that works just as well for 1/3 the price.

Awesome design
Had a race face Chester lever for 3 weeks on my new bike before it fell apart. This lever is about as customizable as they can get and is by far a much better design. My dropper post tends to stick and and have a high resistance the first time it's used, especially in colder weather, but this lever works perfectly and makes it easy to break loose before my rides.

Mind the bracket type and you are gold!
This thing is seriously high quality. I had to return my first purchase due to a snafu with the correct mounting bracket. I am returning and reordering with the proper bracket ( xbravket universal clamp)I wish I could just get the clamp, but I don't know if the interface on this lever will work with that clamp. I will probably call mfg before I finalize the return.Buy it, just be careful to not screw the bracket up!

Used this on my RF Atlas bars and it worked out great!
Much better construction than what comes stock with the PNW dropper. I highly recommend it because once it is installed it is super easy to adjust and very durable. You will forget about it because you will be too busy enjoying the peace of mind. Well worth the extra cost and I will absolutely buy it again when I build up another bike.

PMW lever is a must for Fox cable dropper
This PNW lever is a must for any Fox cable Transfer dropper. It matches the sram lever in size but it has a rubber boot made into it which I wish sram had. Works flawlessly and has an actual bearing. Best of all its all aluminum with no crappy plastic insert like the Wolfe Tooth has. Quality made part for sure.

Amazing upgrade! Dropping the saddle now feels smooth & organic
A few things to discuss here, almost all of which is positive. First, what I love about this...Ride improvement: simply impossible to adequately describe. I upgraded from the default 'drop down' lever supplied with the Rainier post, which functioned well enough, but felt awkward & uncomfortable to use. With the Loam, dropping the saddle feels as smooth & organic as changing gear. Quality of ride improved beyond belief. Worth 5* for that alone.Fitting: ridiculously easy! Whether upgrading like me, or fitting with a new post, fitting is as easy as it gets.Which brings me to the only slight negative. The colour! The grey anodized finish of the aluminium has a slightly greenish tint. This initially put me off, but I decided to fit it anyway, as I liked the grey rubber pad on the lever. I did consider exchanging this for the Wolftooth remote, but decided to try it out after much deliberation. Upon installing, I actually loved the look of it, as it matched my Ergo grips and suspension lock out. Also the Loam has height adjustment in the lever, which the Wolftooth doesn't.All things considered, the colour issue was not really an issue at all for me, so 5* it is. I highly recommend the PNW Loam lever.

Such a good feeling
Used this dropper lever on two bikes now. It initially replaced the lock-on grip remote on my Specialized, and was such a game changer. When I got my new Trek, the Bontrager lever immediately broke - the grub screw was not set and it pulled off the cable end when I actuated the lever. After fixing it, I found that the remote was SO hard to push to actuate the dropper post. I promptly swapped the PNW lever from my specialized with the Trek one, easy 5 minute install and BAM. It is the best feeling dropper lever I have ever used, so clean, so easy to push. You can easily adjust the bite point of the lever with the small grub screw which pushes the lever's starting position out a little, as well as adjusting the cable tension. All in all, this is the best dropper lever on the market, and I highly recommend it. Only issue is I have the wrong colour (orange) for my new trek (slate blue)!

Beautifully made but does not match ordered colour and is missing parts
Ordered grey/grey, received teal/grey. Does not contain any means of clamping the cable in place in the sealed box. Not end of world but something this expensive, where attention to detail is meant to be a company value, loses instant points for me as it is not fit for purpose. Ordered because needed it for a trip this weekend to replace a broken lever so also annoyed I have not been able to easily get up and running again due to being let down with this order. Appears a well made product otherwise but will be returning and going elsewhere.

The best cable dropper lever?
The Loam Lever is a beautifully machined lever which works smoothly & weighs in at 46gI brought this to replace the standard Fox Transfer lever that expired in a crash. The Loam Lever is much better ergonomically for me and is smoother with a lighter action (both with new cables). The large thumb contact means the lighter pressure feels even better as it is spread out over a wide area making this a joy to use. I’ve tried a few levers and this is the best, although at the price, it should beLikesThe rubberised orange pad feels great if you don’t wear gloves (& still looks good if you do)The cable is supported in a machined radius (so should last longerDecent size bearing should mean it stays smooth for years to comeDislikesSharp machined edges on rear will slice through flesh (shouldn’t come into contact with them but you never know)Angle of the cable ferrule could be changed to give a better cable runIt’s expensive but quality costs...

No grub screw, bolt of MMC SRAM connector
I have just received PNW Loam lever and although this is a really good and well built lever as you would expect from the cost, but is has come with missing parts, no grub screw and washer to clamp the actual cable or the MMX curved connection that connects it to the brake lever, very disappointing considering the cost. I have seen similar reviews stating that same and that you need to liaise with PNW direct and get the parts shipped over, this should be detailed before purchase, I have a planned trail ride this weekend that I need to cancel now due to not having a dropper lever! 5 star for the bit of kit, but 1 star for missing component's.
