Jock Sturges: Radiant Identities: Photographs by Jock Sturges Paperback – 1 July 2004

As well as those appreciative of the human form for its own sake, this is a very good book for amateur life drawing artists who don't have access to live models. When I lived in London I regularly attended life drawings sessions but since moving away there's nothing round where I now live. The book features boys, girls, men and women, mostly nudes though some partially or fully clothed. Sharp black and white images, perfect for me as I use pencil or charcoal rather than pastels or paints.

How to review this?Simplistic? This is a coffee table book of Black and White images of mainly naked teenage, or at least pubescent, girls.No, that makes it sound like something thats perverted.Advisory? Don't buy this if you're offended by the human body!No, do buy it, and see how natural it is to be nude, or semi clothed!Historical? Jock Sturges did have problems with the American police who said some of his images were pornographic.They didn't win, a judge said they were ok.Summing up: The cover picture gives a guide to some of the pictures inside. There are pictures of nudists, male and female, mainly youngsters luxuriating in the sun in France and California.

Jock sturges spent long periods of time on nudist beaches and other areas photographing people semi nude and nude. Radiant Identities is one of his most popular photography books. Full of people of every age including his favorite model Misty Dawn, Radiant Identites delivers to you superb photography. Crystal clear photos and in black and white. A must for every Sturges fan. I also recommend Last Summer by Jock Sturges. There is another book set to be published in January 2016 titled THE BEAUTY OF NATURISM by another photographer but will only be released on CD.
