Perfect with morning cup of coffee. Just right amount of sweetness, not to sweet, taste caramel and fresh. Sturdy, waffle texture and sits nicely on top of coffee cup to get warm.

This was my second can in many months because I had missed it. Very tasty and crispy with the caramel inside. A little on the expensive side. But I was not making a habit of it. I wanted to see what some of the culture was like.

My review is for the Flavor: Caramel Size: 9 Count Gift Tin I was hesitant to buy these here due to the condition they were being received in. I looked locally and was unable to find them so I took a chance. I'm glad that I did because these were received in perfect condition. This is my first experience tasting Stroopwafels. A Youtuber I frequently view kept bringing them up and it peeked my curiosity. The initial taste is buttery. The initial experience with the texture is the exterior of the Stroopwafel. It isn't crisp but it's not entirely soft either. If I had to lean one way or the other the texture is crisper than it is soft. The exterior is wafer-like but significantly softer. There's no significant crunch when you bite down. The interior is chewier and the caramel flavor isn't as sweet as expected. It's also not excessively chewy and the caramel is contained in the Stroopwafel. It isn't fluidic or taffy-like. (The caramel doesn't pull away from the Stroopwafel when you take a bite.) The crisper exterior and the chewier interior do mix together in harmony as you chew. The combined flavor is enjoyable but underwhelming. The caramel interior seems to get lost in the buttery flavor of the exterior. I'm curious to try the maple and honey versions as I think I'd enjoy those flavors more than I did the caramel. I especially think the maple flavor will compliment the buttery exterior of the Stroopwafel better than caramel does. The caramel is good but I don't think I'd buy it again at its current price point ($9.11). This isn't what I'd consider an overly sweet dessert. I think these would be great for someone who doesn't care for sugary treats but still wants to enjoy a dessert. At another reviewer's suggestion, I'm going to try to find the maple and honey versions at my local World Mart. If I do I will update this review with my experience with those flavors. Update 1: So I went to World Market and found honey Stroopwafels but no maple. The price was more competitive ($5.99 for a tin or $4.99 for a box) The texture of the honey is the same as the caramel. To be honest, the honey is a lot like the caramel, the flavor gets lost in the flavor of the waffle. There's really no discernable difference in flavor to me. The honey edges out the caramel as it's slightly more pronounced in flavor but it's really a coin flip. While at World Market I also found Reko Pizzelle Italian Waffle Cookie Vanilla (Amazon ASIN B00AXNBKXU) These are like the Stroopwafel without the middle filling. I actually like them a lot more. They're crisp, only 23 calories (opposed to Stroopwafel at 130 calories), and the flavor is more bold and enjoyable.
