My private spa.
I have been really excited learning to use my U-Kiss Hair Removal System. With a 5 level system, I found my comfort level and have begun using the treatment. Since my patch test, I am using the system for 2 treatments per weeks until the hair growth is inhibited.

Easy to use and works great!!!
I have been wanting an IPL hair removal system ever since having expensive treatments at a plastic surgeon's office and now I have found this really nice system that works painlessly in the comforts of my own home without the expense. It is really simple to use and it comes with a great Users Manual!!! (Most sellers send a tiny little thing with hardly anything in it.) This one is easy to follow & answered all my questions. The device has 2 different modes; a manual mode where you press the flash button each time you want the IPL to flash, and an automatic mode where you press & hold the flash button for 3 seconds & it will automatically flash for you so that you don't have to press the flash button each time. It also automatically stops flashing when you remove it from your skin. Really nifty & I love it!!!

Here's a few things to look for but do your research on IPL and be ready to commit the time
I finally decided to spoil myself by investing in one of these devices. My motivation was because I could never get rid of razor burn no matter how much I used this or that latest and greatest skin care product. And honestly I'm not about to commit weeks worth of hours (and money) in a salon. My focus areas right now are underarms. I have dark brown hair and light skin. I rarely write reviews and I'm no scientist, but I wanted to help potential buyers be informed because it was a pain to find some of these answers and there was so much misinformation in other reviews. So, first know that studies show that IPL technology is effective. When I read reviews, and not only from this product but many others as well, many people said it just doesn't work. After reading up on IPL, the technology itself does work. I suspect a couple things: those purchasers didn't have the right skin and hair color combinations because IPL does not work for all skin types and hair colors, or those users didn't commit to using the product long enough to see results. Its very unlikely anyone will see any significant results in 30 days. After reading how IPL works and the stages of how hair grows, it can take a year to see any significant changes. So, you've got to be ready to commit and use the product consistently. One thing I couldn't figure out by reading product specs or review is what the 400k, 350k thing means. The light produced by IPL devices is a flash of light for a second or less. On this device, you can control the flash of light by pressing the button or setting it on a slide function, so it will flash about every 3 seconds without having to press the button. This device will give you about 400k flashes, and you will need a lot more than 1 to kill that follicle. So, it's not unlimited use, and (although I haven't used up all my flashes), the specs show it will be completely consumed after 400k flashes. Now that I've used it and know how it works, I am glad I went with this cheaper model because it seems to have all the same functionality of other more expensive models, but it's still a consumable product. I do like the slide function. This model has 5 intensities for the light. One thing I really don't like about this model is that every time you turn it on, it starts on the lowest intensity, and I often don't notice until I'm half way done with the treatment. I use it at the highest intensity and although I can feel it, it is virtually painless. It feels like a small rubber band snapping on your skin. I noticed my ankles were the most sensitive and I can see how some people could have some pain. The shape is pretty comfortable, so that's another consideration. Some have a handle and are more of the hair dryer shape, I can see how that may be more comfortable in hard to reach areas. Price was more important factor than shape in my decision of which one to buy. You've got to be ready to commit to this type of treatment. I've had my device 2 weeks now and I use it more than recommended. I use it about every other day, but I don't have any skin reddening or sensitivity afterward. You've also got to figure out which works better - whether you should shave immediately before use or let some stubble grow out. Although research says to shave, some salons recommend you shave the day before. I have been using it when there is a little stubble. In the2 weeks I've had it, it does seem like the hair is softer and thinner. I like it. I feel like it's making progress. Fin.

Easy to use but not very powerful
The U-Kiss is very easy to use, has a good instruction manual, and yes, it does work, slowly. I have undergone quite a bit of professional laser hair removal on my entire body, and find that IPL removal is just not very powerful. If your aim is to target just a few hairs between professional treatments, this device is probably fine. If your aim is to use this to remove all of your unwanted hair, I think you’ll find it takes too long, is too uncertain, and a trip to a professional provides quicker, cleaner results. With a trip to a pro, your zapped hair will fall out in the next week or so and then you could spot treat with this. The hair doesn’t fall out with this device (as far as I can tell), so I’m not sure if the hair is dying or if it’s just being weakened slowly over time until it dies. I feel the occasional zap of the heat in the hair, but it’s literally only a few hairs here and a few there that ever feel like this, and it’s that zap that makes me think the device is doing what I want it to do - that is - kill the unwanted hair. I’d like to feel more zaps to know this device is working.I use the device on its highest setting and have experienced no negative side effects with the exception that it doesn’t seem to be powerful enough and I wish it had a few higher settings. Not sure how sensitive your skin would have to be to get a negative reaction from this. It’s possible that mine is not very sensitive to heat and light. It’s plenty sensitive to chemicals and latex.About me: I am fair skinned with lots of dark, thick hair that has been thinned dramatically by multiple but intermittent professional hair removal treatments both in the USA and AUS.

better result than i expected!
the device stopped me going back to the clinic and they were using the same type of treatment also.it's very precise and affordable compared to the pro treatment.it works well with people who have fair skin and dark hair, it can treat a large area in as little as a few minutes, but before you do the treatment, the area must be shaved first.I really like that it can be used on all body areas and it's nearly painless. because it's not concentrated so it required more treatments than the laser to get it done but which is the way that I used too.the hair grows slower and thinner each time after it killed the hair's root, even it's a slow result but I really enjoy the hair free time.

Perfect for at home use.
My husband got me this Awesome productThis is first time using an at- home IPL machine but I have had salon treatments in the past.It is not too heavy so you don't get arm ache from extended use.Had no pain when using it I would say a very small pinch that is all my legs felt smooth and left me feeling very soft.I am impressed so far and look forward to seeing how it goes when I have used for longer.
