GS Power Marine Wire - 50 Ft, 14 Gauge AWG Electrical Boat Wiring - Oxygen-Free Insulated Black and Red Sheathed Copper

I was surprised see how thick the insulation was on this wire. If you don't have experience with metal types you might not think this is pure copper but it is better than that. It is pure copper that is tinned!! I have not used this wire yet but it appears it should work great. I will definitely measure voltage drops after installation and if for some reason it is too severe I will update this review for sure. However I strongly believe this is going to be a high performing wire and should last a long time if installed properly.

Truth in advertising, really copper strands tinned. Easy to strip jacket. Nice thick insulation on wires. Using for 12vdc rail supply for LED strings. Measured minimal voltage drop over 140ft with varying loads. Will be flexible enough to re spool with piggy backed RGB strings. Way less expensive than other similar products. Did receive 200 ft as requested. Plastic wrapped not on spool saves shipping costs. Respool it and make your project easier than some tangled mess.

I'm not an expert on wiring so take this for what it's worth. I needed to rewire my boat trailer so I wanted something that wasn't going to corrode in the elements. I looked around quite a bit and this was by far the cheapest option with decent reviews. The wire itself is some of the thickest 16 gauge wire I've seen...I would say it's closer to 14 gauge so that was a pleasant surprise as I debated using 16 vs 14 for this project. The wire was pretty easy to work with but I wasn't bending it more than a couple degree here and there so it might be a bit harder for tight corners. Overall I'm really happy with it and it ended up working well for the boat trailer application.

This stuff is perfect for wiring a boat. It’s easy to cut with the correct tools, but is durable and flexible. I wired my entire boat with this stuff and would definitely buy again. The gauge of thickness is perfect for what I needed.

Hi. 100 foot of this wire for what I paid is a very good price. It may be important to note that the roll I got seemed like NOS wire, with the old style red/black wire color,, and the stiffness this type of wire gets after it’s been in existence for a number of years. It’s still fine wire, tinned, very good.

Good cable

This wire is legit. Sheathing is thick but still flexible, even in sub-freezing weather. Other reviews that stated it is aluminum, apparently were done by individuals unable to identify tinned copper (the spreading of misinformation is not only not helpful, but an ever growing katzenjammer in this country). While some of the pictures associated with the wire on Amazon are misleading and should be removed; guy on roof and box being wired, due to the wire not being UL listed for line voltage, residential or commercial, this is an excellent choice for automotive, marine, low volt applications, or what I purchased it for, speaker wire. And at less than 25 cents a foot, it would be difficult to find a better value, anywhere.
