"Welcome to Vault-Tec life!"
I've had this book for almost two weeks now, and I've enjoyed preparing several meals out of it so far! Each recipe has a full-page picture on the opposite page accompanying it. There are loads of humorous notes and descriptions in the book, as well as some nice artwork on the inside covers and some clever nods to the game (such as the S.P.E.C.I.AL. stats). The quality of the book itself is also great; it's hardcover and printed on high-quality paper. The recipes range from appetizers to desserts and everything in between, and they all have clearly-written instructions including prep time and servings. Some are more difficult to prepare than others but there's many that even a novice cook could pull off with ease. The one thing that was a slight disappointment was that there are few clear instructions on how to adjust the recipes in case you need to substitute ingredients. Some recipes call for ingredients that may be somewhat difficult to find, and having some dietary restrictions myself that may be an issue for some buyers. However, this is a problem I've found with most other cookbooks that aren't specifically tailored for people on a special diet. Overall I think the author did a great job of including a wide variety of recipes, and many of them have ingredients such as coconut milk if you're lactose intolerant. There are even some vegetarian recipes included as well, like the meatloaf. Also, the recipes that call for ingredients such as bison work well with other meats. I tried one with beef and it cooked up wonderfully! Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the Nuka-Cola recipe was more generic than the 17 fruit flavors the game states it has. I wasn't expecting to add 17 different fruits into a drink recipe anyway but there's really only a handful of citrus and cinnamon flavors that come through to differentiate it from regular cola. The Nuka-Cola Quantum recipe seems better in this regard since there's also fruit punch and pomegranate included. Aside from that the drink recipes seem to be tasty, and there's a nice amount that are non-alcoholic as well. I got what I expected and I didn't find the content of the book to be out of setting. For what it is (a Fallout-branded cookbook) I think the author did an excellent job and I've enjoyed flipping through it just to read the notes. If you're either a fan of the game or just a chef looking for some unique spins on recipes (the chili comes to mind) then this is a must-have. Looking forward to the Elder Scrolls one as well!

Do you want a 200 year-old salisbury steak? Or do you want the news?
Exactly what I wanted in a Fallout cook book. Full of lots of little easter eggs and lets me finally taste all the weird stuff from the wasteland. I've got a friend who got the perfectly preserved pie in 76 and we threw a heck of a party for him at the ski lodge diner. Now I can taste victory myself. Well, I could if they had a Nuka Victory recipie too. Happy cooking, wastelanders!

Great recipes with that classic fallout tone
I'm a fan of Fallout, but I also like to go the extra mile to make great food for myself and friends so this book was perfect. The theme isn't where the only selling point, the food in this book is genuinely terrific. Rosenthal did a great job making neat themed recipes that taste great and fit the aesthetic of the franchise. The baked goods are sweet but balanced, and even simple recipes liked mashed potatoes use some unique techniques to get some extra flavors that I hadn't considered before. Whenever I want to make something special for my family or friends now, I will often find myself referencing this book simply because you don't need to know the games in order to enjoy this food. P.s. I love the chocolate cookies, definitely give them a try if you get the book

Awesome!
I absolutely love Fallout. So anything Fallout memorabilia, I want it The cookbook exceeded my expectations honestly. The pages are thick and heavy. The colors are vibrant and it's easy to read. There's Fallout humor and the dishes names are geared towards the actual lore of the game. I will say that there are some weird recipes but they are ones that I'm Interested in experimenting with. I normally cook by how I want not with what a recipe says but to be true to Fault Dweller standards, I will do my best to follow the instructions as given.
