So much better than tampons
I've used this one for a few months now and I love it. Unlike with tampons it doesn't feel dry and uncomfortable, it doesn't matter if it's been 1 min or 12 hours it's easy to take out, I haven't had any leaking issues, I don't feel any cramps with it, most of the time I don't even know it is there and I can still do everything I usually do from running around after my 2 year old, swimming, standing, mowing lawns, sit-ups to sitting in bed reading and even sleeping. I got two of them to switch between so I'm not standing there cleaning it when I need it most or trying to rinse it out over a toilet with a water bottle in a public restroom while I need it, I just rinse it before taking the other one out and replace it with the new one then I redress and rinse the other one off, wrap it in paper towels and a bag until I get home and can wash it properly.I found it is easier to put in if I get it wet first and use my index and middle finger with a punch fold instead of the c-fold which doesn't open all the way for me. The punch fold you just push one spot on the rim down into the center of the cup as far as it can go then pinch the bottom together to hold it while you in insert it into place. When I release it, it usually pops open and I twist it to set it and if it doesn't pop open just twisting it usually opens it up. It is a little more difficult to use than a tampon at first but once you get used to it (1 maybe 2 months) it is as simple and quick as a tampon. I suggest using different types of folds to see what works best for you and checking your cervix (it will feel like the end of your nose) position at different points in your cycle as it changes so you know how and where to position the cup so it works for you and is less likely to leak or push out. If you don't feel your cervix don't worry, some people never feel it throughout their whole period, others only feel it during their heaviest times and others feel it from start to end of their cycle. Usually at the beginning and end of your cycle the cervix will be higher and in the middle it will be lower. I always run my finger around the outside to make sure it is fully open if it's not I twist it and I do the same before pulling it out to make sure that 1 I can get a good grip on it 2 because sometimes the stem will catch at the back where I had stitches after having my daughter 3 just to make sure that I am putting my fingers in the right spot and not hooking my nails on anything else when I pinch it together and twist and pull.

Quality product from a great company! 6 stars if I could!
I purchased my SckoonCup 7 months ago, I've waited this long before writing a review because I wanted to give it a fair try before potentially influencing someone else's decision. That said, I love and adore my cup. It is easy to clean, it is easy to maintain. It is easy to use, and I love the bright color, it makes those days a little easier :P There is a learning curve, an adjustment period if you will, I personally committed to myself to use nothing else except my Sckoon Cup for my first period and just "work through it" and figure it out. I am a stay at home Mom and just planned to stay home for my entire first period, so that no matter what happened, if I ended up having problems, I had a shower readily available. Thankfully, I never had any issues for my first period! Now, some important details, and I only mention these because I know that sometimes us "bigger girls" are afraid that we won't be able to use products like these. I am a big girl and have had 2 c-sections, and I have a fairly large apron belly and have diastasis recti.(Diastasis recti (also known as abdominal separation) defined as a separation of the rectus abdominis muscle into right and left halves.[1] This condition has no associated morbidity or mortality.)All that said, I have no problems using my SckoonCup! I find that elevating my left foot (I'm left handed) means that I can properly insert my cup and rotate it into place. I love the shape of the cup, reminding me of a beautiful flower, like a tulip. The vents at the top of the cup make for wonderful aids for insertion and removal. I've actually "filled" the cups a few times, and I find that the fuller the cups get the more they start naturally exiting the body. This is a wonderful product, and I love that it is made in the USA! I am intending on buying the Cup and Pad set for my daughter's first period! Thank you for making such a high quality product!! Since purchasing my cup, in the 7 months I've had it, I think I have only used sanitary napkins 3 times (like 3 total, not 3 periods), and that was not because of issues with the SckoonCup.
