This door trim is fantastic. It is very well made and easy to install. It is essentially two layers of impact resistant insulator that sandwiches individual steel crimps inside. So you have rubber against the door's edge, and also on the outside. Since the crimps are individual, cutting between them can be done with tin-snips, wire cutters, and even good scissors. It also makes the entire length of the trim supple and easy to form around edges. You just start pressing it on wherever you like, and as you go either keep pressing, or take a lightweight mallet and tap it as you maneuver. It is a truly tight fit without adhesive - I expect it to stay on very well. But be careful as you apply the last press on the trailing edge. If a little bit of a left over crimp is exposed it can scratch the paint. Just look closely. If it is poking out some, then go ahead and use a fingernail to take it all the way out, leaving a nice smooth rubber end. I put it on all four doors of my Jeep JK, and on the tailgate door as well. Great product! - And I have no idea why the images are rotated. That's not how they look in any of my editing software... eh - in the preview anyway. Go figure.

Great product. Can't say more than all the other 5 star reviewers have. I used it to protect the entire door edge both the sides and bottom edge of my 18 4Runner. I like how malleable it is and this is great to wrap around the corners instead of having to cut it like the stick on stuff that will just loose adhesion over time. I think this will help with alleviating scraps when opening my door to close to rocks when off-roading as well . Just wraps around with a little pressure or tap of the mallet. Used a rubber mallet to ensure a tight fit. I think I'll edge my tailgate as well. Great stuff!

Very good product that it would stay where you installed them . It does not use an adhesive or anything like that . The strip is using a built-in metal clips to hold itself in place . The installation is pretty straight forward but the process does require some labor . You need to push the strip onto the door edge to make sure it is fully seated . And you need to make sure it is fully seated , or it will damage the paint on the panel adjacent to the door edge when the door is closed . Just do a through check then you will know what I’m talk about .

I put this on a truck bed lid I just “vinyl wrapped” and it was really hard to install, I suspect the fiberglass edge on my bed lid is just wider than a door edge, but it went on and it looks outstanding. The texture/finish looks GREAT with the fake black carbon fiber viny wrap on the bed lid. Couldn’t be happier, again it’s hard to push on, but when you work it all the in, it adds a great professional look to the overall job. Highly recommended, in fact, I may use the left overs for my car doors! LOL.

Easy install. Be sure to cut between the metal pieces embedded in the rubber when trimming to fit.Has held up well to multiple washes through a car wash that has the spinning bristles and scrubbing mops that come in direct contact with the vehicle. Looks good and will be ordering for our other vehicles.

We got a new car and sometimes if i parked to close the the other car when my son would get out he would sometimes hit the side of the car. I got this guard to see if it would help and it worked great. It was really easy to install. I at first was using a hammer and lightly tapping it into place but it was making marks on the guard. So i started out by hand and then using a rubber mallet which worked much better. It comes with 2 rolls but i really only needed one. I did 1 car and then both doors on the minivan, and i still had maybe a foot or two left. Works great and looks good too, very pleased with it.

I ordered a different guard a few years ago for my previous car. This product is far above the quality. I had areas at the top of each door that have thicker edge. I thought this would not work there but I tried it anyway and it worked like a charm! I used a rubber mallet with gently taps. You get used to the sound and feel when you tap the edge to know that it is all the way on. Corners? NOT A PROBLEM! I was pleasantly surprised at how easily it went around the corner. No fuss at all. I love how the black edge looks on my white RAV4!

I lie this stuff. Made the mistake of thinking I had to cut it to make the odd curve in my doors but figured out after the first door that all you do is press it in to the frame edge and it molds itself perfectly. I used a finger size block of wood to press it, just to not flare up my arthritis. If you do cut it though; because the length is more than you need for one door, make sure you pull the little bit of metal out from the end.

This trim fits well on my 2018 honda crv, it comes in 2 rolls .. I had lots of trim to spare
