Jury Still Out - With Update
The media could not be loaded. Received 1060EFf Elliptical on 29-May-2020. Assembled it the next day. Assembly was pretty easy (teenage daughter helped). Had one minor issue with a bolt while attaching an upper handlebar. One bolt got stripped (found a stainless steal replacement at a local hardware store). I think the original bolt is rather short for the application attaching the handlebar. Was pleasantly surprised to find that the console had been updated to include a holder for personal device during a workout. Saw an online review that made a comment about not being able to place a personal device on top of the console previously. The current online picture did not show this upgrade at the time I purchased this elliptical.Upon first use, noticed a slight knock once per revolution emanating from each side (video attached). The knock became more intense when using the handlebars. Upon further investigation, I noticed that the pivoting arm (one with stride adjustment) has a little "play". I saw another review mentioning a "click noise". Wondering if it is the same issue. If it is the same... suspect it would be either a design or an assembly defect of the pivoting arm. Hoping it is just an assembly defect so that I will get a replacement part that is properly made.I sent an email to warranty department. Will update post in future pending my experience.UPDATE BELOW: ------------------------------------------Diamondback gave option to send Tech or replace elliptical. I opted to have a tech come to my house. Diamondback emailed me a contact number for a Tech and informed me Tech would reach out. After a couple days, I called the Tech. The tech mentioned that DiamondBack had not contacted him regarding my issue. This was a little disappointing to hear. The Tech eventually come after confirming with DiamondBack.Tech informed me that the pull pin knob for the "stride adjust" needed to be tightened after the stride length is adjusted. Upon tightening the pull-pin knob, the play in the "pivoting arm" was eliminated and the periodic noise once per revolution was gone. I feel better knowing that there is a locking mechanism in the stride adjust and the noise was due to operator error. I would suggest Diamondback clarify the need to tighten the pull pin knob in assembly/user manual to reduce the chance of receiving knocking complaints in the future. As a trouble-shooting step, Diamondback had suggested lubricating the pivoting joints. When at my house, the tech also lubricated the joints with a multi-purpose synthetic lubricant for good measure. If DiamondBack believes adding lubricant to the joints is necessary during initial assembly, I would suggest adding the step to the assembly procedure. The Elliptical does operate well now (quite and smooth). I will keep monitoring for noises. I'll upgrade my rating based on current operation... still assessing! For the money... I think it is a good product.

Great high quality equipment!
Great product! Good instructions to put together yourself. Says you should use 2 people to install, but was able to put together myself, even with a bad back. Very comfortable stride length which is what I was most worried about. I am very happy with this purchase!

Do not buy this machine
I purchased this elliptical last December (2018) after reading a positive Consumer Reports review on the larger model. I regret this decision. The machine has been nothing but trouble and Diamondback has had excuse after excuse on why they won't honor their warranty.A few weeks after I got it it started making horrible metal on metal squeaking noses. It would quiet down after I tightened the screws, but then start squeaking again within an hour. I contacted Diamondback and they told me to tighten the screws. I emailed back and forth with them about 40 times and they told me they would not send a technician to look at it because it wouldn't help, they then promised to send me new hardware, but that has been delayed twice and there is still no sign of anything showing up. At this point I think they are just waiting for my unit to be out of warranty. If you are in the market for an elliptical save yourself some hassle and go with a more reputable brand.Update: May 2020, a year and a half since I contacted them and still no resolution. They claim that they've been working with me, but I've had no assistance other than empty promises via email. I filed a BBB complaint, which they ignored. For $1,500 you'd think they could send me some new screws or do literally*anything* to stand behind their product.

Things that go bump on the elliptical.
Stride flexibility is good with a long elliptical settings, a middle setting and a stepper selection. The feel of the stride and arm swing is natural. Footprint is very very compact. The only ANNOYANCE is that it makes a clumpy bumpy sound while you’re using it. I spoke to Diamond back and they said that’s normal. Maybe, but to the user, it’s annoying and makes a good elliptical sound cheap.Amending this: finally got around to tightening all the bolts that needed tightening and it's much much quieter. Still a bit of thump but now it's something I can live with. Now the only thing it lacks is a way to use a cadence sensor on an exercise program. Good machine and well worth it.
