Perfect for cool evenings!
We absolutely love this firepit! We have it on our backporch and sit around it every cool evening (which aren't many in Louisiana). Instead of lava rocks we put glass rocks. It took 20 pounds of them. This is what we ordered: Hiland Recycled Fire Glass in Bahama Blend.

Great fire pit - setup warning
I like the unit - others have had issues lighting it - it lights fine - you have to hold the knob in, turn to the left to click a spark and it lights, but then you have to hold the knob in for about 20-30 seconds to heat up the heat sensor or the flame will go out. Fairly easy to assemble. Nice fire - adjustable - I didn't get glass, just stayed with the lava rock. Fairly sturdy.WARNING - the burn unit and hose underneath are pre-assembled which is good - but when you screw the hose onto your propane tank, make sure the hose isn't bent upwards and touching the bottom of the firepit top - it will melt the hose. Then, you get to go figure out how to replace the hose and it's a pain. My unit's hose was installed so that when hooked up to the tank, it bent upwards and I didn't realize it was touching the base of the upper portion of the firepit. Had I seen it, a simple re-adjustment by turning the propane tank would have fixed the issue, but I didn't see it.Overall, nice little unit!

Just not another pretty fire pit table.
We recently purchased new patio furniture and there were no good matches of tables that were either acceptable for the space we had or the price range. The firepit was direct hit for both counts. We turned it on low and because it was in a covered area, it immediately spread it's warmth. The only draw back was with assembling the product. When it came to actually putting it together, 3 people would have been worth it. Some of the screws and holes did not match and one screw in particular that needed to be in place prior to the other three (when placing the hose in the actual table). Other than this little mishap, this is a great buy and matches perfectly with our patio furniture.

All good now- wrong leg sent in package, corrected by sellers.
Arrived, looked great, unpacled, all pieces appeared to be present and correct. One of the legs is not lableled, so by process of eliminaion I surmised it was leg "H". The end bracket is welded on the wrong end or 3 female bolt rivets are in the wrong place. Cannot make this work.Called customer service, not open on weekends. I need this table within 3-4 days due to vacation visitor commitments. Please help me. I would love to amend this review and give 100% but not fit for purpose it was purchased for. Make it right !UPDATE: Contacted manufacture who was less than helpful, they suggested I could not follow instructions. I called the toll free USA phone number and had a very helpful chat with a man who sent me the required leg by fed-ex. This turned out to be a wrongly labelled leg and would not do. In the interim, the national sales manager had contacted me offering any help she could. I called her on a weekend after the new leg was wrong and she sent me all four legs overnight by fed-ex. They arrived table assembly was completed and voila a fire table as advertised. I am Very happy with the resolution to my problem by the helpful staff in the USA. Thankyou.PS. The fire table works great we at very happy with it.

You will need a long lighter to start!
Pretty easy to assemble, just take your time. A few of the screws were stripped but I managed ok. One concern outside the manual start never works is that after 1 week there is rust in the welds from the morning dew. I bought a cover for it during the rain just incase but serioulsy...dew?? After use, you cannot cover until its cool to the touch (about an hour). For the money, so far a 4.5. It will run about 10 hours of use on a mix of high and low (20 pound tank filled at refilling station). Also, if you order glass instead of the included lava rocks, you will need about 15-20 pounds. Its a great alternative to a wood fire if you are looking for a super quick ambience, some warmth and a great entertainment center on cool night. For the price....absolutely worth it!!

Nice, attractive fire pit, but disappointing manual and initial support
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. My experience with this Tacklife unit is mixed. The assembly instructions were good; the operating instructions were not, and the initial customer service was dismal. Now that I have everything up and running, I am pleased with the unit. It seems reasonably well built and is a pleasant focal point for visits on our back patio. It does throw some useful heat, but if you plan to stay warm when it is in the 50s, you will have to essentially be standing next to it and of course be sure you are dressed warmly. Also, Tacklife has now followed up with me some months after my initial purchase and worked hard to make me happy.Prior to this unit I was unfamiliar with fire pits or how to operate them, so I hoped to rely on the instructions. For this unit that was not the case. The major omission is the fact that you must press the control knob IN (the manual says down) hold it there for at least 15 secs. before turning it to the on/max position to get the spark, otherwise there will not be enough gas present to light the unit. This is not described in the manual. It also says to open the LP cylinder gas valve fully. This is not necessary and in fact in opposition to what is suggested on the Blue Rhino website (the manufacturer of the gas that I use).My attached video shows my approach to lighting the unit. That being said, now that I have used it a half dozen times or so, I can no longer get it to light from the built-in spark unit. It is much easier to get the gas flowing and use an 11” butane lighter. The other negative with respect to this unit is the awful customer support. I tried to contact the company at the phone numbers provided in the manual. The phone number on the back of the user manual was a non-working number and the other one (found on p. 14 of the manual) took me to customer service agent that told me to call another phone number, which was also the number provided on the Tacklife website. That number said leave a message, but the mailbox was full. That left me with email as my only resource. I contacted them at the support address found on their web site and also via Amazon support. I got replies both ways but it took over 2 days and the replies were different from each of them. To their credit, when I was unable to get the unit lit, and before I realized that it was primarily due to user error due to their poor instructions, they were willing to send me a replacement. All this being said, I am happy with the unit for now, and now that I have learned how it works, and hopefully will need no further support from Tacklife, I would probably be willing to purchase and/or recommend this unit. If the initial customer support were better, and if the igniter unit worked well, I would give it 5 stars, but as is I can only call it a 4-star unit.
