Works as intended - good product, albeit pricey...
Five Star review. Works as intended. Began to have a some algae problems in my Freshwater Planted, High Tech (CoO2), Amazonia environment. Kept getting algae growth on my slow growing somewhat rare/difficult to grow plants; Lagenandra Meeboldii, and Echinodorus Opacus, and Echinodorus Iguazu. Checked water conditions, discovered my phosphates were between around 5 PPM - which is nuts... (Some water re-conditioners for my RO water use phosphate based buffers) I was using another brand of phosphate binder/remover previously. So I switched over to ROWAphos, to try; within 48 hours my Phosphate levels dropped below .25 PPM - to undetectable. Works as intended, you must keep up with regular checks, to ensure the product is not exhausted, replace when exhausted. Would use again.

Worth every Penny I spent! Great sruff
This stuff is as good as it says it is an better... worth everything I spent on it... I was going through other P04 media very quickly and I have had this in for over a month now and it is going as strong as when I first pit it in. My tank is thriving and levels are perfect.

Literally Trash
Showed up dried out with a compromised cap that seemed like it had been opened. It is completely useless like this, total trash. Just buy your gfo from an aquarium shop, don't waste time with these Amazon vendors.

ROWAphos worked much better for me
I've tried Phosban, and PhosGuard, and for whatever reason, ROWAphos worked much better for me, knocking down phosphates from ~0.4 to 0.02 within a few days. I never got that good a response from the others. Certainly that could just be where my reef chemistry is at the moment, and may have occurred with the other products if I'd tried them in a different order, but in any case, working great for me. The Phosban in particular seemed to clump, whereas this doesn't. I use it in a media reactor, more or less in the amount recommended. My other tips are to change it more often at first, as it depletes faster when there's a lot of phosphate to adsorb. Again, perhaps just my chemistry, but watch for pH swings—mine dropped noticeably as the PO4 dropped quickly, and needed more alkalinity dosing.

You get what you pay for! But, the product does perform well.
Not sure yet how this product will perform, but when rinsing it, as recommended, I realized that the quantity in the filter bag is reduced in half due to the excessive amount of powder Phosphate removal media. It is very powdery and not worth the money. I thought by buying a German product that I am getting a better product, but this powdery content indicates that it is well below my expectations. Follow up 06/21/2017: After using this product for about a year, it does perform well, better than other products by competitors. I will be reordering for my next use.

Works very well to bring down the phosphates.
This brought our phosphates down from over 10 to almost 0 in a couple of months. Now we have this in a fluidized bed reactor to keep the phosphates down. This works great. I wish there were some kind of color indicator to indicate when it is being used up.
