It holds in your hand perfectly, and the pullout is spectacular. You don’t have to fight the knife, just a slight push, and it comes out. Every time I use it, someone compliments, the knife asking where I got it and everything. Quality is perfect. Feels like a true perfect knife. Super easy to flip and when you first get it, it’s super sharp as well. I love fidgeting with it and I never really get fatigue on my finger from flipping it around.

I have a few Karambit knives: Fox 479 Carbon Fiber Karambit, Emerson Knives Super Karambit, Masalong Pterodactyl and this knife. The advantage of a fixed blade is the speed of having the blade ready to go. However the major advantage of a folding Karambit is the ability to use it for submission maneuvers, as well as the obvious. In the closed position, this can serve as an impact weapon such as a Kubotan. There are a few methods of deploying the knife after some experiments with it, for me: 1) Pushing down in the blade mechanism opens it as a user draws it 2) Strongly executing a chopping motion in the ice pick method 3) Drawing from the holster in the backwards motion, which is the opposite of drawing an Emerson Wave Karambit. There are four Pivots/joints that make this knife morph from one form to another. In the folded position the user is safe from a cut. It is easier to do a two handed folding of the knife. However I have figured a way to close this one handed. I hold it blade up, and using my thumb, I unlock the mechanism to free the lock. While letting gravity do the work, the blade will start to fold and I guide the mechanism the rest of the way. It takes practice. The grip is aluminum and the blade is a flat black D2 blade. The whole blade and handle are coated with a black titanium component of paint that is matte finished. The belt clip is not reversible from what I can tell. Pressing on the end of the clip the hook opens enough to mount it into a pocket. Action, so far, has been reliable and smooth. This is a unusual and unique design. Update After 24 hours of testing, the elbow joint locked up. Since I bought it used, I didn’t try to get warranty work. I ordered another one again. They have a lifetime warranty under the original owner.

This knife is amazing. I've never seen a folding knife with this type of opening mechanism before. Materials and craftsmanship are top drawer. It is not a gravity knife and from all I can tell (I'm not a lawyer) it's legal to carry this for everyday carry. That said, it would pay to check on this in your jurisdiction if you have any concerns. It's great for opening packages. It was easy to open the knife but it took me awhile to figure out how to close it. The little booklet included with the knife had tiny font which described how to do this but I needed to look at a YouTube video to figure out exactly what the booklet was talking about. The grip and finger ring are such that it completely conforms to my hand. It allowed for a comfortable and secure grip. That said, if you can't resist using the finger ring to twirl the knife, practice with a cheap plastic training karambit first. It's easy to cut yourself if you haven't practiced or don't know what you are doing. There are some good training videos on YouTube.

Likes. Can be opened by one hand faster than any other knife you will get on the market. Very sturdy design, you'd think a gimmicky knife would be flimsy but when fully deployed it feels like a rock. Less likely to "accidentally" deploy than you might think. Dislikes. Could have used at least three serrations for strap cutting. Did not come very sharp, double bevel limits how sharp of an edge the blade is capable of. This isn't exactly designed as a work knife. Something you need to be aware of. There are methods of opening this blade that are not "annotated" on the product, check your local knife laws before carrying. Rather or not a knife violates a law is often a matter of "judgement" for the officer and this could be argued to be a flick knife (even without mechanical assistance) or a "pocket hook" knife. That is to say the simple act of drawng the knife from your pocket can deploy the knife if you catch the "thumb notch" on your pocket... Damn near needed stitches on my ass cheak the day I found that out. Which means if a police officer ever asks to see your knife, be very, very careful drawing it. It can be readied as fast as any fixed blade knife and with one hand operation. What i usually do is dip my index finger in the finger hole, while catching the thumb notch with my middle finger, a quick flick of the wrist deploys the blade, flip the knife into my palm and it's ready for use. Thumb notch knives need to be drawn, you have to find the notch, flip it, etc. Pocket hook you risk missing the pocket liner and then your stuck still having to deploy the knife, this one you can do what I do, or, use it as product shown, or, just an outword flick of the wrist will usually deploy the knife... the only thing faster than this knife to ready would be a fixed blade knife. That said. For what it is............ the price is a little high. But it is a quality purchase if you feel like you might ever need a knife now now now now. With some serrations it would make a good first responder knife because of it's one handed nature. I do wish it had other configurations of blade besides karambit.

I have bought two of these knives as gifts and have been pleased with both the design and quality of manufacturing.

Great product, little pricey, but a great fidget tool

Verarbeitung ist Top aber das Messer sollte mit der Scheide gekauft werden da es beim Tragen in der Hosentasche leicht aufgeht, eine unangenehme Erfahrung die ich selbst machen musste.

Well crafted, great design the best self defense knife. Really tough to find and buy the sheath though!
