So going on 3 months now give or take. The timer is holding up. It just held up to Hurricane Dorian not too long ago lol, poor timer :( but it's still working!! i have a bug zapper hooked to the timer and it kicks on at around 7:30 to 8:30 PM depending on daylight savings. What i did though was took a trash bag and put it over the two inputs and plugged the bug zapper into the trash bag if that makes sense (kind of like a tight water resistant seal) but everything is working as it should. I will buy again. If anything changes i will be sure to post.

I purchased this to operate a light while we were away. It turns on at sunset, and turns off after the number of hours you designate. For example, I set mine to 7. It automatically turns on when it detects sunset. It isn't affected by passing cars, etc. Then it turns itself off after 7 hours.I think I will keep this connected throughout the year changing the hours to maybe 3 in the middle of summer.

It's kinda bulky, but I like this a LOT! Dusk turn on or off, various hourly turnoff, reverse function. I've only had this a month so I can't comment on durability but I would buy this again in a heartbeat tomorrow if I had another need for one.

2 solid years of controlling Christmas lights and it hasn't missed beat. Simple to set "on" time.

I have used many outdoor timers and had to replace all of them because of malfunioning. They were replaced with this type. I had one years ago and decided to go back to it since I find it dependable.

I never really liked this timer. I found it to be somewhat unreliable. It would sometimes not come on at all. The reason for one star is simply that it just failed by all of a sudden making a very disturbing rattling noise.

Read the short manual, plugged it in and set the dusk setting for 3 hours. I noted the turn on time and the unit turned off the lights EXACTLY 3 hours later. Very pleased. The short pig-tail cord is just the right length.

Have to set timer for specific number of hours. Dusk to dawn makes lights blink.
