Jump Start Bootstrap

Mostly good info but weak on a wide variety of examples, for example enable/disable button, sliders, etc.

Overall, I learned a lot about Bootstrap components, utilities, and plugins reading this book. It is a good introduction if you have no experience with Bootstrap. However, several of the code examples are now outdated since the release of Bootstrap's newest version. In my opinion, I think reading the documentation on the Bootstrap site combined with instructional YouTube videos would be a better option.

It doesn't offer more than the documentation online, but it does break down how Bootstrap works nicely. The content is written to be easily understood, and I would recommend this book for any developer just starting out with this CSS framework.

A chapter on customizing Bootstrap with SASS would have made it better. But this does get you off to a quick start.

I read a lot of technical books, and virtually none of them are particularly good, so I'm realistic and grade them on a curve.This one is reasonably well written & organized.It's digestible-sized for a "get started" guide.That's already enough IMO to make it commendable as a web programming guide. :)

Good intro manual for the price. however, there are some coding typos. I would actually not recommend this for a beginner, since you will more than likely be reproducing the same code on your own to see how well it works for yourself to learn. I did not like learning debugging code from examples that are supposed to work from the examples displayed.

This is an excellent starter book for both beginners as well as for those having more experience. It worths every penny you put on it.

Good intro to Bootstrap

So far so good. Does exactly what you'd expect for a 'jump start' book. You'll need to supliment this with something more in-depth when finished.
