While the sound quality is not what you would get from a more expensive instrument, it is good enough for making music and practicing. All of the keys function well. It's not "touch sensitive" meaning that the loudness does not depend on how hard the key is struck (so to answer one of the questions, it does NOT send MIDI velocity data). But I was able to play 3-note chords. It is very easy to roll up and transport. I bought this for my toddler grandson and it looks like he will really enjoy it.

Muy buena calidad del producto. Como todos los pianos de este estilo, le falta el efecto de sensibilidad en las teclas, pero para empezar es una buena opción a considerar. Es práctico, fácil de transportar, está muy completo en cuanto a funciones y ha sido un buen compañero en el aprendizaje inicial con el piano tanto para mi hija de 7 años, como para mi que me acerco a los 50 años. En algunas teclas a veces puede emitir dos sonidos si no se presionan adecuadamente, pero una vez t adaptas a él, puedes practicar tranquilamente lecciones y clases. Al tener conexión midi, es una buena opción para utilizar programas de audio y VST que emulan pianos reales, con lo cual se disfruta aún más el proceso de aprendizaje. Lo recomiendo para principiantes, pues por su costo obtienes un valor justo de beneficio. Si quieres mejor calidad o parecido a un instrumento real, debes considerar opciones de mayor costo. For the price...this is an amazing product! I teach piano and I’m impressed. The sound is good, and this has a lot of great features...rhythm, transpose, sustain pedal, ear phone jack, and nice size keys.(It should be noted that the action of these keys is not much like a real piano. It is flat..what do you expect.). But for travel or a temporary solution...this is a good alternative.

I am a beginner piano player and I bought this for practicing during travel. Unfortunately this is worse than practicing on a sheet of paper, because there is no consistency in the key response. The same position and force of a finger either produce no sound, one hit, two hits, or even 3 hits. Playing cords is even worse. Out of 5 fingers of both hands, you can get anywhere between 1 to 5 tones with some bouncing a bit. The overall effect is a cacophony of sound.Only the drumkit seems to produce better result, at least I don't get the no hit or multiple hits problem for all the tones (piano, violin etc.).I am returning it right away. Never buy silicon keyboard again.

I'm just learning piano and bought this so I could practice my lessons while on vacation. I was happy to get it. It has a nice weight to it, and rolls out flat, and sounds like a real piano. BUT! I don't know if it's just my unit, or if they're all this way, but when I press the keys to play a chord or a melody, the note will often sound 2-3 times. Super-distracting! Makes it impossible to "hear" whether you're playing it right, which is important for learning. I finally had to turn the sound all the way down and practice, just imagining the sound. I wrote to Amazon and to the manufacturer, and received no response. In my research I found other people had similar complaints, so I suspect it's a flaw in the engineering. I would not recommend this item.

Ordered this for my hubby, who is learning to play the piano. He wanted a portable keyboard to practice at work. When he first opened it, he noticed the box had been opened once already. However, he was willing to oversee that except, the keys were all dirty and sticky. The sound was very good either. What a disappointment from Amazon, had to return, but they did promptly refund my money in a few days. Won't order this one again.

This is the perfect piano for my 5 year old, she loves playing with it, and can already play some simple tunes. The piano color coded makes it for easy learning. The packaging was great and has built in speakers, demo songs, and tunes. She bring it everywhere with her, it’s small and compact. I would recommend this to every little musician out there!

I purchased this keyboard for my seven year old granddaughter to practice her piano lessons. Her piano teacher was impressed and said it was a nice keyboard. It works well for us. It rolls up and fits in a small box when not in use.
