Works seamlessly with my Blu-Ray drive
I am using this cable to connect my Blu-Ray drive (Hitachi-LG BU40N) to my laptop and I can confirm it works perfectly. It is literally "plug-and-play". Just wish it was slightly bigger, however you can use a female USB extension cable to solve this. The cable connected to my laptops USB supply's enough power to my Blu-Ray drive. Burning and ripping old copied over VHS videos to new disks works great, thanks to this great cable.I recommend this product!

Worked out of the box to connect a bare bones drive to usb in windows. Transfer spends in use as expected for usb 3. Recommended.

A good remote disk link lead
This was the perfect lead for connecting a remote disk.unit from an old laptop to a new laptop....its very much a ...plug in and go.

Lets me reach back and still read old CDs
When I retired my old laptop, I removed the little hard drive and CD drive. The CD drive has the smaller SATA connection. This cable allows me to connect the old CD drive to my new laptop (new laptops don't come with a CD drive). Easy to connect, disconnect etc.
