Amazing
So, I found online that this is supposed to cut just one layer of paper. There was not a lot of detail about it. I am about to vinyl wrap some cabinets, and I bought this to cut the paper backing. I have to say that this is one of those items that you just wonder 'how does it know?' It simply looks like a piece of plastic. The cutting edge just looks like the plastic was a little warped. It is perfect for cutting a sheet of paper or tape on a box. It slices through just as well as a box knife. It shows that it's safe for the skin, showing that you can run your fingers over the blade. This is true. However, it does actually cut perhaps a layer of skin. I rubbed it repeatedly on my thumb and didn't notice anything. Later in the day, I did see that I had several very shallow cuts. It was not deep enough to hurt or bleed. If you are forever cutting yourself while trying to wrestle open a box with tape on it, you will love this.

Really Works
I bought this to cut out little articles in the newspaper that I wanted to keep like a certain church is having a dinner with all the details, etc. It has a little cutting blade built into it. The shape of it is good for this because it is wider where your fingers go and pointed where the tip of the razor is. Works well. I put it in a place where it won't get lost in a shallow drawer.

Handy multi-use cutter.
Lets face it. This is a fairly inexpensive product and as such you probably won't be dazzled by the look or overall quality of this product. Since I haven't had it long I can't attest to the longevity of this cutter either. I can tell you however that I have been pleasantly surprised by the utility of this little guy. I typically don't cut alot of coupons. But I have to say this little cutter does a pretty decent job in that reguard. Sure, if the paper is thin or you apply too much pressure it will cut multiple layers. But if I get careless and destroy a flyer so what. I'm not going to mourn the loss of a piece of nuisance junk mail that would otherwise be relegated to the trash.I really like how easily this tool opens (Amazon) boxes without fear of damaging the contents inside. It also works pretty well opening letters (provided your mindful of the correspondence inside).Overall I like this product. It's a handy little multi-use gadget to have around the house. If it gets lost or damaged, I do believe I would purchase this product again.

It’s not magnetic
It cuts fine. But it does not include a magnet, so it won’t stick to your refrigerator.

Outrageously expensive
The general idea is quite good, however, it is outrageously expensive for a little piece of plastic and a tiny razor. I will be using it to clip coupons out of catalogues. Whether or not it will open tougher plastic wrappings, remains to be srr\\een.

Doesn’t cut not a good purchase. Cheap design.
I had a blade just like this for 8 years. It disintegrated after 8 yes. Hands down one of the best investments. This particular product is absolutely not a good investment. The graphite/carbide blade is weak and can’t even cut tape. I am not sure what changed but need to go back to the drawing board on quality control. Not a good purchase at all. At this point I would rather have my old one back and get a replacement blade and duct tape it back together.

Great little item
I love using this item when wrapping gifts. It cuts the paper so quickly. Must better than using scissors and you can't cut yourself on this item either.

Save your money, don't buy
Item came and it looked like it had been already used and all banged up. The body was covered in over spray from the silver detailing. Looks like something that should be 50cents, not $7. The blade is extremely small and placed well back of the front of the handle, so it's difficult to tell exactly where you're putting it, and where to start and stop. Does not look like it could cut easily through much but tested it out... It's pretty Meh. It does cut, but it's not always a clean cut. Not sure it's going to be suited to being a package/mail opener as planned. Blade does not retract, so don't let it bounce around with anything you don't want dinged or cut (like a purse, pocket or craft drawer).I would 100% return but the packaging got tossed at the start of a project before I got to try it out (I could ignore its looks if it were functional).

Small but really mighty!
It actually works so well it’s surprising! This is the buy of the year for me as I didn’t expect much when I saw it first. Then I used it for the first time and Now absolutely love it. Make sure to have it as a horizontal to the sheet or envelope as possible for best performance
