Mushroom House Dried Mushroom Forest Blend, Premium, 1 Pound

I Just made a dish of chicken and rice and decided to toss a few of these in with it tonight. The ONLY bad thing was that I didn’t use more of them!! They are so tasty! They are dried well, and you get a nice variety of large, high quality mushroom pieces in the mix. Stems are included (which is totally fine with me.) I will definitely be buying these again, my partner and I were raving that these were the best thing in the dish! Each one has a distinct flavor profile, and they smelled slightly like cocoa while rehydrating. Amazing. He was snacking on the dried ones while I was cooking the meal lol. They also are very clean! There was minimal debris/dirt when they were washed. If you’re on the fence about it, I absolutely recommend them. I’ll be keeping some in my pantry from now on!

This has great natural color and the quality and smell is just so fresh. The cooking or prepping is easy and no nonsense and easy to grind if that is what you need for coffee. The taste is as fresh as its gets and the texture is equal to your backyard picks

This is only my second time buying dried mushrooms. When they arrive, they look pretty ugly. The directions to rehydrate are very easy to follow. I initially bought them to use as a ramen soup enhancer. But I discovered they are so much more. The numerous delicious flavors of each mushroom adds complexities to a simple noodle soup and other soups and foods. I started adding other veggies to my ramen such as carrots and shallots and green onions, and seasoning with red pepper flakes and sriracha sauce. I’ve added dried garlic and other seasonings that added flavor like a little sesame oil and just a dash of low-sodium soy sauce. It is so fun to discover how many ways you can use them. I love them!! Be sure to use the hot water you soak them in for part of the liquid in your soup or other dish if needed. It adds another layer of amazing flavor.

I am seriously stunned by the quality and flavor of these mushrooms. This is NOT a bag of stems and bits; it's a huge bag of large pieces of mushrooms. If you use dried mushrooms throughout the year like I do, don't hesitate to purchase these. This is a great mixture of high-quality dried mushrooms. I imagine this bag will save me $100 or more over sourcing and buying fresh. Plus, dried mushrooms pack more flavor.

I used these mushrooms in a cream of wild mushroom soup. I have used this recipe several times and the soup was always delicious. This is the first time I made this recope with this brand of dried mushroom. I previously used the same type of mushrooms but a different brand, and had no issue. I soaked the mushrooms as required and thoroughly cooked per the recipe. However, the mushrooms were so chewy I could not eat them. So sad because this is an expensive soup to make and it was a waste of money. Not to mention embarrassing as I served this soup at a dinner party, thinking it would be as wonderful as it was in the past. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Very unhappy customer.

I was not impressed with this product. The packaging was fine, but the mushrooms have an odd flavor that I have not experienced before with other muchrooms. Some, if not most refuse of the ieces to soften. Even after boiling and long soaking they remain rubbery and dificult to cut, tear, or chew.

Good mixture of mushrooms. I like to grab a handful and rinse in a colander under a spray of hot water and then throw into a stir fry or an Instapot veg stew mix. They also work good for big omelettes with lots of eggs, onions, jalopeno peppers, veggie fake meat crumbles, and spices. It is surprising how even a big package like this gets used up.
