Saphir Basic Clipper

I had these to do 7 sheep. One battery charge did two large sheep. The blade needed sharpening after i’d done 5 of them. All in all these are great little shearers. Means you can do jobs yourself at your own pace. I will buy an extra battery this year and another blade and I can do my whole little flock myself in a winner!

..........being retired the cost was a worry. These are not the cheapest clippers on the market, nor the most expensive. They were quiet enough for my nervous Collie (after a while he let me do his ruff), and with a 1" and 1/2" Wahl comb attached to avoid nicks, did him all over in 2 hours (last year it was 2 days with a hand clipper!). On his back we used the 1 inch comb against the lie of the coat. For the rest of him we used the 1/2" comb working along the lie of the coat. That left approx 1 inch long coat all over (compared with 4 inches left from the winter). It dealt fine with the dreadlocks on his backside and tail and the really thick hair round his ruff (one has to go slowly or the comb snags). We had a rest after the first hour as the Collie wanted to play and the clippers were hot. They took 30 minutes to re-charge and then we did the other side (it's a lot for a second battery but no doubt professionals would need several). All in all very impressed with the quality (it feels very solid, real Swiss engineering). So, having bitten the bullet of the cost, we are very pleased and very impressed. And in another year or two, we'll have paid it off............

Quite expensive but excellent quality and very simple to use. Managed to trim a very unruly labradoodle's coat without any issues.

there is no combs we it

After doing a lot of research and saving my penny's I took the plunge and brought this item and wow it glad I did! I now groom my own dogs which helps with their anxiety and saves money in the long run. Really good product 👍

Bought these 31st October 24 so just over a year ago, I work part time and they are broke, will not switch on, apparently no warranty just the 30 days, if I had know I was paying such a large amount of money for something that was only guaranteed for 30 days then no way would I have bought them so buyers beware!!!

Loved the quality. Disappointed that I had to purchase UK plug adapter, and not informed about this upon purchase.
