These Kauplus pliers are a welcome version of good quality. The jaws are nicely cross-serrated, and they mesh together extremely well. The joint at the tip of the jaws cannot be felt when the handles are held closed. At this price point, that's amazing; at double the price point, it would still be impressive. The serrations are distinct but not too aggressive, and after a few weeks of use are showing very little wear (which is more than I can say for some other examples from better-known American tool companies.) The joint pin is ground perfectly flush and smooth. All surfaces are flat, parallel, and square. Given the length of the handles, there is some flex when force is applied. I have examples of this pattern from a couple of other makers, and the flex in the Kauplus version are in the middle of those pliers. Not the best, but not the worst either. The only slight downside β€” and I emphasize SLIGHT β€” is that they're just a bit tighter than I like. After oiling and a bit of exercise, however, they're perfectly usable. The only real competition left in this pattern are the Channelock version, which are not nearly as precisely made as the Kauplus pliers. These are a much better value. (There are other examples from European makers, but they don't have the cross-serrated jaws which I find necessary in this pattern.) For those in the know, Taiwan is rapidly becoming known for producing good quality tools at a fair price. These Kauplus pliers live up to that reputation. Review: Really nice duckbill pliers - Great grip for cable splicing. I own 2 pairs! If I ever lose them I will definitely buy them again! ## Features - Flat nose for long reach applications and hard to reach spaces - Durable drop forged constructed from Cr-Mo steel made of fine polished - Crosshatch teeth offer a maximum gripping strength than the regular needle nose - Comfortable PVC mat grip for help reduce hand fatigue - Cross serrated jaws for superior gripping power ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B079Z41FTB | | Best Sellers Rank | #190,259 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #239 in Needle-Nose Pliers | | Brand | kauplus | | Brand Name | kauplus | | Color | Metal | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 107 Reviews | | Cutting width | 20.3 centimeters | | Grip Type | Power | | Handle Material | Pvc , Steel | | Item Weight | 0.29 kg | | Manufacturer | Kaupa | | Material | Metal | | Material Type | Metal | | Specific Uses For Product | Crosshatch Teeth best gripping pliers, Flat Nose Assembly Pliers, Wide flat nose for better grip | | UPC | 682698742396 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** kauplus - **Material:** Metal - **Color:** Metal - **Handle Material:** Pvc,Steel - **Item Weight:** 0.29 Kilograms - **Specific Uses For Product:** Crosshatch Teeth best gripping pliers, Flat Nose Assembly Pliers, Wide flat nose for better grip - **Grip Type:** Power - **UPC:** 682698742396 ## Images ![8-inch Duck Bill Flat Nose Pliers 8” Flat Nose Long Reach Plier - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71YzsODgjrL.jpg) ![8-inch Duck Bill Flat Nose Pliers 8” Flat Nose Long Reach Plier - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71GkIWgMO-L.jpg) ![8-inch Duck Bill Flat Nose Pliers 8” Flat Nose Long Reach Plier - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61o41emTbaL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality in a hard-to-find pattern *by G***M on December 10, 2020* Duckbill pliers are becoming scarce, and quality examples of this pattern are hard to find. If I ever lose them I will definitely buy them again! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great quality-- manufactured to tight tolerances- jaws mesh flat *by C***L on August 16, 2024* I'm pleased with the quality and make of the pliers; manufactured to a high degree of quality within tight tolerances. Both jaw faces mesh 'flat and tight' together, which is hard to find in pliers today. Smooth operation. Feel natural in hand. Just a great plier. I haven't used them much yet but I can't envision them giving me any issues. I would definitely purchase them again. ## Frequently Bought Together - Kauplus 8-inch Duck Bill Flat Nose Pliers 8” Flat Nose Long Reach Plier - OTC 4795 Safety Wire Twist Pliers --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/101495751-8-inch-duck-bill-flat-nose-pliers-8-flat-nose](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/101495751-8-inch-duck-bill-flat-nose-pliers-8-flat-nose) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
