When we want to move the patient up, does it slide with the patient?** A: The bed pad is thin & flexible enough to remain under the patient, and it slides very nicely when repositioning the patient. Sometimes, we place a folded cotton sheet over pad for comfort, and it is still easy to use sturdy handles to move patient. I purchased this to reposition a family member with Parkinson's, and it has been worth every penny!! **Q: How do you keep it from slipping all the way up the bed when boosting a person up in bed** A: I had the person in bed hold on to the side handles as I pulled on the top handles. Actually, I used it mostly while she was in a queen size bed to go sideways in the bed before rolling onto her side. Something to watch out for: if you are pulling this out from underneath someone, notice that it has hemmed edges that can actually cut the skin. After that happened once, we were careful to coordinate that last slow pull out from underneath her.
