Physicist Jane Chandler is happily married to Matt and they have two kids. She has her own research lab and together with her assistant, Regg they discover a way to send objects to a parallel world. Later, tragedy strikes: Matt is killed in a car crash. Grieving, Jane travels to the parallel world and finds another version of her husband, who she brings back to her world. Gradually he reveals himself to be a very different man. He carries a strange, deadly weapon and has a terrible temper. Fearful she has made a mistake, Jane takes a second trip to the parallel world to find out more about him. While Jane is in the parallel world, he breaks into the lab in the first world, kills Regg and destroys the machine. Now Jane is trapped in the parallel world and her kids are at the mercy of a murderer. The next day Regg #2 appears at the lab. He tells her that he has built a duplicate machine. Jane finds a way to teleport back to her world to confront Matt #2 and rescue her kids.

throwback to 50s scifi
Interesting premise, but the writers play fast and loose with all sorts of details as well as character motivation. Femtowatts? Really? That is so tiny as to be almost immeasurable. And how can they control which universe they travel to? And the casting was awful: the kids were waaay too old. And remind me - just why did this guy want to kill everyone? Buuuuttt, if you can see you way clear to ignore this and much else, it is kind of light and breezy, sort of like old kitschy 50s scifi.

I'm not quite sure what to think.
It was more horror than mystery. It felt awkward at times. I wonder what Max Tegmark thinks of this. His work is mentioned several times. It was interesting and the acting was good enough ... it just seemed off somehow. As I wrote above, I'm not sure what to think.

good twist on a scifi
worth the watch.

It was good!
A good movie that was written well. I enjoyed the originality of the movie and it felt good to watch a movie that wasn't a woke-ass costumed superhero. This is a good movie to pop some popcorn and chill. Oh, and it keeps you going all the way to the end.

Entertaining, nice ending
I saw the lukewarm reviews and decided to watch anyway. I thought the acting was very good. The story, while stretching it a bit, was interesting and moved along at a nice pace and the ending was clever. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who enjoys sci fi.

okay movie, no time travel
pretty okay movie, it is about parallel worlds like the description says but people think the movie has time travel for some reason. Time travel is never mentioned and never implied, really confused why people think it is.

It's a good film.
I really like a story about a woman who really loves her husband.
