Reversible Meat Tenderizer and Pounder Dual Sided Meat Tenderizer Mallet Marinating Prep Tool

This tenderizer is a beast! It's got a great amount of weight that makes tenderizing meat more an act of gravity and less of a physical exercise. But not to give the wrong impression, it's not so heavy that it's difficult to lift. I use the spiked end exclusively, though you can unscrew the base from the handle and use the flat side if you choose. It does a great job with anything, chicken, steak, brisket, etc. It's simple to clean, hot water across the teeth will make any remanence dislodge and then I just let the dishwasher take care of the rest.

This is a great idea, two head that are easily reversed. The grip is comfortable and the weight is enough to pound any meat to tenderize. Easy to clean as the whole thing comes apart. Don't have a dishwasher so can't comment on that. I was going to buy another meat tenderizer for more money from a home party, but glad I saw this.

this is a great meat tenderizer. it's solidly made and heavy enough that little effort is needed to use it to- dare i say- pound your meat. the surface area is 3" across so it provides plenty of surface area. i use mine mainly for chicken breast so my experience is only with the flat side, but the spikey side looks like it would work very well as the density and size of the spikes is impressive. many years ago i received a williams-sonama meat tenderizer just like this one for xmas that i used for years that was unfortunately lost during a move. this meat tenderizer is nearly identical the only difference being a very slight difference in the quality of the casting. however this in no way affect it's functionality and is only noticeable if you really, really try to look for it. that being said the difference in price of the two items makes purchasing this one a no-brainer and the best choice.

Very pleased with this it works well for meet tenderizing. It is heavy for people who have arthritis, but I feel that it needs to be to work.
