That's fine for a home disco, but not for more scientific use. (I'd wanted to use it to recreate a science lesson demonstration with a strobe, but could not recreate it.) The right dial is just the on/off switch, although that's not immediately clear. The remote control is for colour changes. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Just ok *by A***C on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 November 2019* Liked:Seems to flash in time to musicDidn’t likeSmall sizeNot that bright but would work in small roomDefinitely not bright enough for a strobe motion effectBuild quality not brilliant, only acceptable ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bright, compact and fun- Great value for money! *by J***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 November 2019* I bought this for a flat party to liven the atmosphere and what a beauty! The lights pulsate to your music and light up the room perfectly. However, the light is only perfect for small areas and we could have done with two but rather than do this we decorated the other end of the kitchen with fairy lights. Also, some people complained that the strobe was too intense and and was out of tune to the music but I personally had no problem with it and definitely plan on using it again- but I would make sure you have rooms where people can go to if they want a break from that club vibe.
