A good, reliable, sharp knife is hard to beat.
This is a damn nice knife. I own many brands of knives ranging from $10 to $400. For an EDC knife, this Crawford that I paid less than $30 for, is as good, or better, than many of my more expensive knives. The steel is a budget steel, but it is good steel. It holds an edge for the type of cutting I do. It is easy to sharpen. All I do is hit it with the ceramic and the strop a few times and it is right back where I want it. It is not the prettiest knife in my collection, by far, but I like the way it looks and the way it fits my hand. It opens easily and closes nicely. I’ve no trouble with the locking mechanism.

Better than it should be for the money
This is my daily carry. It's overkill for that but I love it. It came razor sharp and has stayed that way with light usage for weeks now. The clip is sturdy; main concern of mine for daily carry. I tend to snag and snap clips. This is holding strong after a couple close calls. The flip is lightning fast. The lock does its job for light duty use. If you want something to go stab a car door with, buy one of their $300 knives. For us normal guys, this will do fine for you. I've bought EDCs that are 3x the cost that don't come close to this. Buy it.

Worst Folding Knife in the History of Folding Knives. X2
I wanted to love this knife. I already love Cold Steel and have a Tanto and SRK-C and love them but this knife is being returned. The locking mechanism is a failure. I can get it to lock if I snap the knife hard, or overextend it but just opening it fails to lock it. I have a Band-Aid to prove it. The blade is nice, polished, and sharp, the knife is light weight and a good size and shape. I would have liked it if it wasn't dangerously broken. I ordered a 2nd one to hopefully see if it is better. I'll update my review when it arrives. Update: I received my 2nd Cold Steel Crawford Model 1 today and was excited to have one that had a lock that worked. I'm not sure what makes me more stupid, thinking that another one would work or cutting myself again! I "locked" it open and pushed on it only to have it close right on my finger. Amazon only let me upload one video so I removed the 1st one showing the same lock disfunction but adding the bloody finger for effect. Sorry to those who hate the site of blood but I wanted to make a point. It will be a chilly day in Hell before I buy any Cold Steel product ever again!! both of course are going back. On a side note, the sliding safety lock on the side of the handle does not work either - it doesn't matter how much force you appy it does not slide back or forth. Complete failure of a product imho.

Excellent knife
It opens nicely right out of the box and it ships very sharp. My only criticism is the pocket clip: it's way too tight. It gets stuck on the pocket seam, and in fact damages it. But it seems a lot of knives these days are like that.

Good knife very happy just wish it was assisted open
Blade holds an edge nicely (I’m not easy on knives), the grip feels good in the hand and the lock functions great. I only wish it was assisted open. It opens pretty good, but I like a nice spring action. Other than that, I really don’t have anything to say. It’s my first Cold Steel knife l, but I really like it. I’m coming from a Kershaw blade. The first one I had I loved, but I lost it and replaced it with the same kind (again I loved it) and the blade was far less good. Wouldn’t stay sharp. This was about 3-4 years later so maybe they aren’t made as good. Moving to this Cold Steel it has held up well. The blade was pretty sharp out of the box. I honed it just a bit and then stropped it and it’s been good for about 5 weeks. It’s just now needing to be sharpened up. The lock feature is nice, it’s my first one, I’m of the kind that if you’re worried a blade might force closed on you then you need a different tool. So I honestly forget about it a lot. Used it twice just messing around testing it and I feel like you would have to catastrophically break the knife to make the lock break.

Excellent knife for the money with flipper quick open
I have a number of knives from Benchmade, Cold Steel, Gerber, Henry, Kershaw, Puma, and SOG. With few exceptions, Cold Steel knives are made in Taiwan. I'm impressed with their innovative design, quality production and reasonable prices. The Crawford Model 1 is well made and is more comfortable with the clip removed. The flipper mechanism is similar to that found on knives from Kershaw and SOG. A fair amount of force is needed to open it, but I'm hoping it will be easier after oiling it. A slide mechanism to keep the knife open seemed like an after thought. It was difficult to open and didn't seem to provide much value. To me, the knife's advantages make this a good value and great every day carry.

Had to return the first one!
Beautiful design, nice materials and workmanship, but lacking in quality control. The liner lock would not securely lock the blade open; and the secondary lock would not engage either. Got a replacement that works fine. Love the blade design, easy to open, comfortable to carry, thin, nice grips, easy to sharpen, not too heavy. Nice medium duty knife.

great knife great price
I bought this knife because it was a cheaper cold steel option and I like a flipper knife. I saw a review say that the wished it was assisted opening.. I dont understand that at all... If you hold the knife at a downward angle, or if you just give it a little wrist flip when you hit the flipper, it opens fully with ease. I am fully prepared to buy a more expensive knife, but this knife hasn't given me any reason to. didn't come super sharp but I bought a ten dollar sharpener and it's been perfect ever since. I found a black pocket clip for it, to hide the shiny steel, and just can't find a reason to buy a better knife. I carry it every day

Awesome, great product!
This is the best foldable knife I had never seen before, the blade shape is so beautiful designed, and it has the secondary lock for excellent heavy usage!

Leichter Schneidteufel

Alles in allem volle Kaufempfehlung.
