Superb quality item.
I use this for modelmaking and to save my wrists from the rigours of shaking bottles and small tins of paint! In this regard, this amazing little product is a lifesaver and worth the high price. Very simple to use, it doesn't take up a lot of space on my workbench and achieves a very well mixed result in 10-30 seconds depending on the viscosity and type of paint. I've used it for small 14ml tins of enamel up to 500ml Halfords rattle can sprays and it works perfectly every time. The perfect accessory I never knew I needed, it's made airbrushing a much easier task and probably prolonged the lifespan of my paint as well.

Shhtured not Shhaken, Missh Moneypenny!
I recently picked this device up to replace a Nail Varnish Shaker(NVS) which went out with a bang - literally! I had only had it a few months before NVS died so I looked for a good quality replacement. Enter the Vortex Mixer. First off and as you may have already gathered, I am not a chemist or scientist, no, I am a miniature figure painter/artist. I need a lot of paint bottles mixed on a daily basis. Now I've heard it stated many times that the pigment in paint requires stirring rather than shaking but when I originally bought my old NVS I wasn't aware of that fact. Yes, a vortex mixer is around three times more expensive than the nail varnish shaker but the difference in both application and quality is night and day. It is a luxury item and yes you can live without one if you don't mind shaking paint bottles until your arm is ready to fall off on a daily basis. It is money well spent for any serious mini painter and a long time investment as the unit comes with a two year warranty. If my last NVS is anything to go by then it will work out cheaper in the long run to buy a vortex mixer than replace a NVS every few months. It's hard to see the Vortex mixer doing it's job with opaque paint bottles so I got an empty paint bottle added a agitator and filled with vegetable glycerine (to mimic the consistency of paint) and placed the bottle on the vortex mixer. Wow this device is astounding! At 3000rpm it only requires about ten seconds on the mixer to give your paint a thorough mixing! I am over the moon with my purchase, a well made sturdy compact piece of kit. I couldn't recommend it more!

Expensive, but well built, and worth it if you paint a lot of miniatures.
It's a great way to make sure your Citadel, Vallejo, Tamiya, etc. paints are mixed thoroughly, every time. If you paint a LOT of miniatures, this makes sure that the paint is mixed well (I put in a stainless steel agitator ball too) rather than having to shake by hand the 300+ brush and airbrush paints I have, just pop them on the mixer, press down gently and the mixer starts up, doing exactly what it says, creating a little vortex (or tornado) of paint in the pot, this ensures perfect consistency, every time. It was a big initial expenditure, but worth it - to me anyway, as I have early-onset osteoarthritis. I know that's not It's intended purpose (or is it?) but it does exactly what I, and a number of professional miniature painters use, now I have one, I couldn't go back. Beware of the "newer version" or the one that looks wider with 3 "legs", the RPM is lower, so, obviously slower and not so good with thicker paints, I'd always go for the one like mine, good strong motor, high RPM, superior mixing. Just make sure the lid of the pot or bottle is securely sealed, the last thing you want is a pot of Nuln Oil (it's always the cursed Nuln Oil!) spilling and spraying over your hobby space! The unit is a good weight, and the rubber feet stops it from vibrating off your table. Solid build quality and comes with a spare rubber cap (so you can choose blue or green).

Great product - lives up to expectations!
A heavy duty product. Quiet and very stable, you don't have to hold on to it as it doesn't move/creep in operation. Excellent for mixing all model paints, particularly ones you haven't used for some time, and its quick. I could never achieve the same level of mix by just hand shaking, even with steel ball bearings in the bottle. May seem expensive but you get what you pay for.

Amazing paint shaker
Amazing product for shaking up those dropper bottles of paint or Tamiya paint. The weight and size are misleading it will definately stop shaking your wrist to bits. Tad pricey but I feel the quality over takes the price tag

It's really good
This is really good I use it for mixing paint for model painting. I got a cheaper one first for mixing paint and yeah it works OK can be a bit of a pain as the rubber top comes off at times and it's started to stop and start and it does take a while to mix the paint. so I think it's on it way out. Seen this on offer and thought I'll get one and oh it's so much better. The base is solid and heavy it doesn't move, my old one bounced around and this one mixes paint in like 6 seconds and I mean the hard stuff to mix. Wish I'd got this one first. Highly recommend it does cost a bit but it's well worth it

Great For Miniature Painters
Like many others here I bought this for shaking paint for painting miniature figures. Having seen some less than stellar reviews on the cheaper options I took a punt on this and so far I'm glad I did. Works really well, arrived very quickly and well packaged. While I had intended to use this purely for the increasing amount of acrylics I use, I have found it works well with my traditional enamel paints too. If you're a hobbyist and swithering over whether it's worth the £90, or just to get one of the cheap £30 ones, my advice is to pay the extra and get this one, it's been real help and the build quality and feel of the item is definitely indicative of a quality item. Highly recommended.

Il costo è alto ma il prodotto funziona alla grande, io lo uso per colori acrilici ma lo usa anche mia moglie per smalti per unghie con grande soddisfazione. 5 stelle meritate.

It’s not cheap but I’m really glad for the purchase. I paint professionally as a part of my work which means 8-10 hour sessions some days. It has been a big quality of life improvement. If you paint only occasionally, this is a luxury item; if you won’t blink for the money you’re spending for it, definitely get it. Otherwise, it is certainly not a must-have.
