Scansnap S1500 Instant PDF Sheet-fed Scanner for Pc 100% Authentic (Renewed)

I bought this new in 2005 for my mature and busy medical practice, for use at my desk. We had a military grade scanner up front, but this one was reasonably busy for 12 years or so, but with my retirement it moved back home with me, where it functions as a fairly light duty Printer Emeritus. The damn thing insists on continuing to work well despite a fairly well-coordinated program of neglect and abuse. I dropped it once, so now it looks like I dragged it behind my car, but it seems to thrive under this regimen. Don't buy this thing if you're one who gets a new car every 2 years. This one's going to outlive me, apparently.

Had a scuff on the front cover and makes a slightly abnormal noise when scanning but so far seems to work well. Great packaging.

I have used a Fujitsu S1500 for the past 10 years without issue. My wife needed a way to scan documents in her office. This fills the need. There are much faster scanners out there for a lot more money. For home use, this unit is just fine as I rarely scan more than 20 pages at one time. The unit can scan double sided and in color. The destination option that I use is to a PDF. Most cheap scanners do not accommodate scanning to PDF. Top reasons for selecting. Scan to PDF Double Sided Scanning Color scanning The ScanSnap software is easy to use and has options for file naming, format, destination of image/file. This has gone a long way to keeping detailed records for my home business and personal needs.

No software included. Same as their $75 cheaper version. NO ACROBAT INCLUDED - buy the cheaper one from the same seller.

Out of date product. On line driver is unavailable. CD software did not work.... Returned, never even got to scan anything. I will never buy refurbished again

Great value, did not need tech support

Excellent product, Fast, Accurate, Easy to use

Do not buy this model as the software is no longer available!!! Horrible purchase! The equipment is damaged and in really poor condition.

I had owned this same model and used it faithfully for 13 years until it finally gave up the ghost. I’m using an older computer for accounting and that machine can’t utilize more modern scanners, so I had to find a refurbished version of the same Snapscan S1500. It shipped quickly and arrived right on time, well packaged. Sadly, when I tried to use it, this scanner would try to feed paper through but the pickup rollers simply refused to pull the paper through. After dozens of attempts it managed to pull only one sheet and then refused to grab any others. Great machine when it works but this one just didn’t work.
