**Q: Does it have a loud ticking noise?**
A: Its's advertised as silent as far as I remember, so no.

**Q: Can I remove the plastic to access the white face?**
A: yes,it is easy to romove ,some buyer take out and draw something they love ,if you could not find the way to remove ,coutact the seller would send you a picture to show you how to do .

**Q: What's the size?**
A: Its not less than 10" diameter, could be more, sorry I don't have it now as I bought it as a gift and it was very nice.

**Q: Is it suitable for a swimming pool area**
A: Not as supplied. Amazing co-incidence that Amazon directed your enquiry to me, as I bought it to replace the 30 year old waterproof one that had died and a new waterproof one was ridiculously expensive. I have sealed around the piece that contains the battery and mechanism, with CT1 and duct taped  over the opening including the hook aperture. Had to drill a hole in the top of clock rim to add a hook. Hopefully it will stay the course, but at price difference worth trying.
