A: The cord connection and terminal enclosure have gaskets but I could not find any actual ratings on its resistance. I would expect it to be okay outside but not anywhere where it would be submerged or siting in water.

**Q: Is this product IP rated?**
A: It seems to be wet/oil resistant with seals on the electrical cover.  If is does not state it, don't assume

Whisker got bent pretty quickly in a hd application. Otherwise it would have worked fine. Mounted solid and didn't seem flimsy
