Bought this to drill in the stainless steel sink, worked like a charm. Good value for money compared to what is available in stores. Not sure about durability since I only needed this for a one time use

This product is very handy when sizing the right hole however the sharpness to drill metal holes could be better

The hubby used it, said it works great, drills nicely into metal but it won’t drill through chrome.

Purchased this step bit, tried to drill, it didnt even make a hole, it just smoked like it was trying to burn through the metal not drill. I threw it out immediately and purchased one at local big box.

I knew I needed an 18 MM hole so I predrilled every hole to withing 2mm of the final size.These did the job, but it took excessive force just to cut the final 2mm.I didn't find any others in metric so I can't recommend anything else.

I occasionally could have used one of these over the years as a contractor, but just got by using increasing sizes of drill bits. I selected this one over similar available step bits because it said it could cut through stainless steel, quite a difficult task. I used it yesterday to drill an extra faucet hole through a new stainless steel sink. It cut through fast as if it were cutting plastic. This is a good item, not foreign junk that only looks decent before you use it.

These fit into my 1/4 speed chuck and just make life convenient. I work in HVAC and my normal drill is usually out in my truck or in another bag, but I always have my impact driver. I can just pop one of these into my impact and quickly drill a hole with these uni-bits. Super inexpensive and they seem to last as long as the super expensive ones at the big box stores.

Haven’t use them much but work as they should on plastic and light metal .

Cheap steel. The bit stopped cutting before I was able to complete one hole using the 3/4" bit in 3/16" mild steel. I was trying to enlarge a pre-drilled 1/2" hole to a 3/4" diameter. The bit was useless. It did not cut for more than a 1/16 of an inch into the metal. Poor design and cheap steel.
