As someone who religiously reads reviews before I buy anything I wanted to come back and write one for the mom who is struggling like I was. BF/pumping has been a huge struggle for me as I am incredibly prone to plugged ducts/mastitis, especially when I have to go back and forth between pumping at work and nursing at home. I tried everything including lactation consultant, supplements, hand compression, right flange/pump/bras, etc. I thought these massagers were kinda gimmicky but was desperate so I got one and it really has helped me so much. I feel like it does help my milk let down and express better, helps kinda break up clogs and get over them so much faster (usually within 24 or less) and honestly when my boob hurts so bad because it’s inflamed from a clog this just feels nice and is an easier way to apply heat while pumping than messing around trying to work around hot/cold packs. That being said I do use it in addition to everything else I’ve been doing but I feel like I finally found the perfect mixture of things for me and BF/pumping has been a night/day difference the last month or so since using this. One charge usually last me a few days of pumping and I think it’s pretty comfortable and intuitive to use. It may not work for everyone but truly wish I would’ve tried this sooner instead of struggling for the past 6 mo. It would’ve saved me a lot of pain and tears and made pumping so much better!

For various reasons, I’ve had to exclusively pump after my daughter was born. For the sake of my sanity and to avoid being chained to the pump all day long, I am currently - at nearly 9 months postpartum - pumping 3 times a day at evenly spaced 8 hour intervals. Longer gaps between pump sessions generally require longer pump sessions in order to maintain an adequate milk supply. That’s where these beautiful massagers come in! I first came across the LaVie massager in an article from a post-pregnancy newsletter that I’ve been getting via email. I’ve always been prone to annoying painful blockages, and despite wanting some kind of vibrating tool to help combat them, nothing really existed for that purpose before (I tried one of those handheld vibrating back massagers, which failed miserably - ouch!). I ordered one up directly through the manufacturer, gave it a try, and it worked great! I started out trying the massager before and after pumping as a means of trying to clear out some of those annoying blockages. It wasn’t long before I started using it while I was pumping. I immediately noticed that the massager wasn’t only helping to clear out blocked areas, it was also helping me to pump more efficiently, too. For a while, I was actively using one massager and was constantly switching its placement from side to side while I pumped. I recently discovered that Amazon was selling the massagers, and I decided to order a second one. I’ve always had to work hard to get my milk out and empty with a breast pump. Constant use of hand massaging, compressions, and direct pressure meant that I couldn’t just sit there while I pump. Forget about surfing the web on my phone or iPad - my hands were always too busy for that. The use of TWO massagers while I pump has been game changing. Instead of moving one back and forth, I’ve been able to stuff one into each side of my pumping bra and leave them there for the duration of my pump cycle. I’m now pumping more efficiently and (even better) hands free. It’s taking less time to effectively empty out at the pump, and I think I’m even getting a little more milk output at the same time. It’s definitely a win-win in my book! Oh, and since I started using two massagers, I’ve noticed that the frequency and severity of my blockages have also gone down quite a bit. I’m definitely a fan!

This device saved me from mastitis. As a first time mom, somehow I didn’t realize that you had to continue to pump the breast milk out of your breasts. I was having trouble with my baby latching and wasn’t pumping for days after leaving the hospital. My breasts were so swollen and hard that I couldn’t even raise my arms and I was in tears from the pain. Eventually it clicked that I needed to continue to pump, so I did but I was left with some serious clogged ducts. They hurt so bad and I was ready to go to the doctor, but wanted to give it one last ditch try and bought this. I used it continually, but after the first use I could already notice major improvement. After using it while pumping and breastfeeding, it completely unclogged me and gave me my quality of life back! Yes, the buttons do get accidentally clicked and changed often because of their placement, but I don’t even care because this helped give me so much relief. I just change the button back to what setting I want and try to be careful to not press them again. The heating feature is amazing. I saw that a reviewer wrote that the vibration sound was so loud she couldn’t use it to breastfeed her baby, but I have no trouble with that. Maybe I have an easy baby, but he doesn’t even mind or notice the sound. Overall a great purchase

After about 2 weeks postpartum, I got one clogged milk duct, then next thing you know.. I had so many clogs. I was advised by every health care professional and the internet to massage and use heat and drain, but using my hands was so tiring and ineffective. I went on 2 different antibiotics, helping the clogs, but the only way to really get them out, was by manual compression and kneading. My sister bought me this roller about a month ago and after the first use I was amazed. My breasts felt softer and less lumpy. I was able to drain faster and stimulate the milk production. I still had to use my arm power but it was less strain than it was to do it with my hands. I really like the fact that it has two balls, due to the fact that when you press down, the clogs can move left or right, so having more surface area covered with this product helped. I still have one large clog in the outer lower portion of my breast tissue (which is really awkward to reach), but other than that, I have been able to loosen the deep clogs and breastfeed/pump it out. It also works out the superficial clogs really well. But..... just the other day, it broke!!! I feel so dependent on this product because it has helped me so much with emptying my breasts and the clogs that would appear if I take a little longer than usual to empty. I bought another one recently, but I wished that it was a little more durable for the amount of pressure I need to apply to get the stubborn clogs out. I actually like this so much, I am now incorporating this product with all my friends baby shower gifts. Overall I definitely recommend.

If you are looking at this product, BUY IT MOMMA! This little thing is amazing! In the short time I’ve been breastfeeding, this has been so awesome to have around. Sometimes I only breastfeed, sometimes I breastfeed & then pump, & sometimes I only pump, (baby sis is still getting the hang of this whole crazy nursing idea), & it’s ideal for all settings! It’s so well made! The battery is USB rechargeable & lasts for quite sometime. It is a nice soft silicone that causes no issues with friction. It glides down the skin so well. It has several vibration settings, & you can also control the intensity of the vibration. The physical appearance & function of this tool are perfect! I’d like to say I’ve got a severe over supply, which is a blessing & a curse. I pump entirely too much. This tool doesn’t help me produce MORE, it helps me get completely empty, which some people claim causes you to produce more. I haven’t noticed anymore being produced since using this every pumping session. I have noticed it comes out quicker, almost cutting pumping time in half. While pumping, you can usually see a stream of milk in the flange when using this tool, so I try to avoid this when baby is latched because of how much milk comes out at once. When I plan to nurse, I will use this the couple minutes before nursing so she isn’t drown by let down. Highly would recommend for anyone exclusively pumping. Also would highly recommended anyone with an oversupply! If you’re considering it, let this be the review to help you hit but now. Because it is 100% worth it!

Product just vibrates, doesn’t actually move the clogged milk ducts. Didn’t really find use for it-might work for you. I like that it’s waterproof and you can use in shower.. good battery too but I didn’t find use for it- Just pump in time and you will be fine. It was mostly a struggle in the beginning for a little bit till I got the hang of pumping in a timely manner to avoid clogged ducts: hot water helps and just massaging with your hand is good enough.

As much as I wear out my Amazon Prime membership, I think this may actually be the first time I’ve ever written an Amazon review. It’s that good! Due to latch issues that we are still trying daily to work on, I ended up having to pump a lot more than I originally expected. So of course I immediately started searching all over for any and every product that would help cut down pumping time and make it more comfortable and easy on me. I came across this massager on an Instagram page about breastfeeding and did a little research. I’ll be honest, I was a bit skeptical that this tiny device would really be that useful. Boy was I wrong! Thankfully I’ve yet to deal with any clogged ducts so I can’t speak on how it helps in that aspect. However, it has been incredible for hands on pumping. No matter how much massaging and compressing I do, I’ve just never felt like I was really getting it all and fully draining each time I pumped. This massager really feels like it’s getting in all the nooks and crannies which also drastically reduces my pumping time. *claps hands and dances around* It has multiple settings and speeds to choose from to find what’s just right for you. I also feel that the shape is perfect for really getting a good grip and getting up in there when you’re massaging. It’s great to put inside your hands free bra too, if you just want to take a break from actively using your hands so much. So imagine my panic when mid pump session yesterday my beloved massager just stopped working. I immediately emailed the company and expected to hear back in a day or two. *Less than 5 minutes later* I have an email response from them saying they will replace it. Just like that. It is now still less than 24 hours after mine quit on me and I already have shipping confirmation for my new one. Not only is this massager hands down the best purchase I’ve made to help my pumping/bf journey but their customer service is incredible! I 100% would recommend this to any and every bf/pumping mama I know! Side note : My son also loves it! I will rub it on his hands and feet and he lights up every time. :) This massager can be used all over not just for your breasts so it’s really a great deal. Stop thinking about it, buy this! Now!

This is an absolute clogged ducts game changer!!! I have such a bad time with clogged ducts and hand massage/heating pads were NOT cutting it. This literally gave me so much relief with the very first use, I am thoroughly impressed and grateful to have come across this tool!
