With so many sunscreens to choose from & having bad experiences with them in the past I took a chance on Neutrogena Age Shield Face Lotion Sunscreen. I’m 50yo & showing wrinkles on my forehead so this is my 1st sunscreen specifically for aging. What also attracted me to it was the 110 SPF as I’m in the sun a lot some days. I was concerned that it was called a “lotion” as I thought it would be heavy. I have oily skin & didn’t want it make my face oilier within a hour of applying. That wasn’t the case at all. My 1st application I put too much of it on my face so I learned a little goes a long way. It definitely did not clog my pores. I feel it could be called a moisturizer rather than a lotion because it moisturized my skin. I had the same feeling as if I was using my regular A.M. moisturizer. I saw no difference there. It does come out white & initially there is a white cast but I feel when I learned a little goes a long way & really took the time to gently massage it into my skin the white faded quickly. It is easy to spread. I don’t get a greasy feeling once it’s absorbed. I find I have to take my time applying it so it sits well while giving it time to absorb before I move onto my next facial product. I like this sunscreen with the aging benefits. I feel my face is well protected. I don’t have sensitive skin by the way, oily with no acne. My face stays in place for the day after my face primer & powder foundation. It’s why I feel it could be classified as a moisturizer period. This is a nice size with a nice price. It will last awhile. This is worth trying. I saved more by choosing the subscribe & save option which is a nice benefit amazon offers. I will purchase again. I hope my experience was helpful to you if you’re considering purchasing.

I did not use sunscreen for fear of my acne coming back. I started using very expensive brands that generated a lot of expenses, but this Neutrogena sunscreen is excellent, I apply it in the morning after washing my face and at noon, it leaves a white finish on my face if I apply a lot, but the protection is very Well, it doesn't cover my pores and doesn't produce acne. I have used it for 8 months. Recommended for people who suffer from acne and do not want to spend much on a sunscreen. Very good price. The bad thing that contains 6% oxybenzone. Comencé a usar marcas muy caras que me generó muchos gastos , pero este protector solar Neutrogena es excelente, lo aplico por la mañana después de lavarme la cara y al mediodía, deja un acabado blanco en mi cara si aplico mucho, pero la protección es muy buena, no cubre mis poros y no produce acné. Recomendado para personas que sufren de acné y no quieren gastar mucho en un protector solar. Muy buen precio. Lo malo que contiene oxibenzona 6%.

I purchased this because as we've been increasing the public therapy outings for our son, the duration has gone up, and we're spending a lot more time outside doing things like trying to tackle tolerance for the zoo, or other out of doors public attractions that draw more people, and often he comes with my daughter and I when we're training for her 5K, and while I'm super thrilled beyond words that we're seeing so much progress that we get to be out of doors so much doing these things with him, I must confess my skin could not possibly be any pastier. The stuff on my shoulders that rarely sees the light of day? See through enough to have a really good view of my blood vessels. Yep, that freaking pasty. And, as you can imagine given that, I burn pretty easily. So, I wanted some extra protection for my face, from which we've had to remove a few pre cancerous lesions in the past few years. So it's definitely protecting me from sun burn, even if I only apply it once in the day (the directions say to apply every 2 hours, every 80 minutes if you're doing stuff in the water). And I should also point out, I live in the desert and we get a whole lot of direct sun here, even headed into fall as we are. And this sun block is not causing my skin to break out either, and I do have to be careful about moisturizers, etc. that I use because yippee, even heading into my 40's, mother nature has smacked me with the curse of the zits. Neither sweating it into my eyes nor having it run in from pool water is causing stinging, and I have had stinging from other sun blocks. I spent about 40 minutes in one of our community pools today with my two kiddos, and my daughter was splashing her brother and I as we were bouncing around the pool like crazy, and I got sprayed down in my eyes pretty good several times...and no stinging. I also really like that this actually looks less greasy on my face then the previous sunblock I was using, which admittedly was not formulated specifically for the face. Now, does it look as if you're not wearing sunblock at all? No, it definitely does leave a small bit of a glow, but I personally don't think it looks even a little bit greasy or oily. And I have used many a product over the years that can make a face look like it's been oiled rather then sunblocked, and I think this definitely avoids looking like that. So I actually really like this and am totally planning on ordering more when the bottle is all finished up.

This sunscreen is an amazing product for me. I've been using it almost daily for the majority of the summer. I am multiracial and have an almond skin tone so it does leave some of a white cast at first but it fades within ten minutes. I am on medications that make my skin burn within 20 mins of sun exposure and I apply this usually once in the morning and on a normal day (that I'm in and out, not outside all day) usually don't burn. What I love about it the most though is it's side properties--it's really softened my skin and evened it out--I used to have some blotchy spots from scars/freckles/sun and now I have a lot less after using it for a few months. Also it's a lot more even as far as some oily spots and some dry spots--now it's pretty much all even. Also I'm only in my very early 30's but I've noticed that what fine lines I did have seem to be fading. The only problem I have with this sunscreen is that I live in a hot humid place and on a hot humid day it doesn't protect as well as on a dry day. IOW on one of those FL days when just stepping out the car is enough to make you break a sweat the sunscreen is almost useless, as soon as you start sweating you start burning, or at least I do--same thing at beach. So I end up keeping a couple different types of sunscreens--cheaper greasy sunscreen I put on just for the beach or those horrible 100 degree 100% humidty days and this one whom I love! Can't wait for the weather to cool off more so I can stop wearing the greasy one all together!

I just used up the tube of this that I purchased three months ago for daily use on my face and neck. I am white with a yellow olive skin tone, and I never burn but tan. This left a definite white cast on my skin, despite leaving it to sit on my face after spreading it and then rubbing it in after several minutes (this method works to prevent white casts with physical sunscreens for me). The cast would stay on my face for about an hour or two, not all day by any means, but it was VERY noticeable and most mornings I had to continue rubbing it in a bit after I got to work. However, as far as I know, this product does what it's stated to do otherwise. I have been wearing this in the winter months, November-February, so I can't speak to its efficacy in hot and humid sun, but as a daily sunscreen, I have no complaints outside of the white cast. It dries to a nice matte finish that I imagine would serve as a decent primer for makeup. For the cheap price and for how long a tube lasts with generous application, I would recommend it to those on a very tight budget who still want to wear sunscreen daily. I will not be repurchasing this product, but that's because in general I prefer a physical sunscreen. I just wanted to try this one for the price. A warning: as other reviews state, this WILL burn/sting your eyes if you accidentally get even a tiny bit of it in them from, for example, scratching your face, and it DOES take a long time for the irritation to subside. BE VERY CAREFUL when applying under the eyes. I would not recommend wearing this to swim.

Okay, here’s the thing. This review is going to be long, because ever since I found this product I’ve been having the skin of my dreams. I could write sonnets to this lotion I love it so much. I was traveling in Thailand with a buddy of mine, and my sunscreen was giving me an EPIC breakout. I mean there were pimples on my face where I didn’t think I could get pimples. Ultra lightweight on my skin, great coverage, and it lasted the entire day I was out in the sun. What more could you ask for? Well, I had a wreckage on my face from a few weeks of using a terrible sunscreen, so I borrowed a friend’s skin care regimen to alleviate it. (60ml) , which doesn’t dry out my skin and leaves it smelling delightful. After a few weeks I saw a huge improvement, and I’m using the neutrogena everyday, and someone will have to pry a tube of it from my cold, dead, fingers because I will never stop using it. I recommend it to anyone with skin. FIVE STARS! :)

Coming from a family who has had members within the family with skin cancer choosing the right sunscreen protection is very important to me. You don't think to protect your face, but it gets the most exposure of sun and is your face protected? I used to take just any sunscreen that you use for the whole body to put on my face however it left behind a oily film and was somewhat sticky so for applying my foundation on I had to wait a bit and even after that my face would get oily quick. It was yuk! Lets face it I was just trying to cut corners. You should really buy stuff design for your face. After coming across Neutrogena age shield face sunscreen lotion I have to say I was skeptical at first from reading other reviews saying how it burns your eyes. I haven't had any issue with this product, of course I'm not rubbing it in my eyes lol I do however go around my eyes and I wear contacts and have not experienced any discomfort. I have also put this on my children who are under 8 yrs of age and they have gone in the water with it on and have never once had any eye discomfort It is waterproof and doesn't run, however it is important to reapply every 80 mins if your in the water I like the smell of this sunscreen, it has a light floral scent to it that isn't overpowering at all. Almost smells similar to a honeysuckle /lilac, but it's so faint of a scent and fades away over time The sunscreen itself rubs on like lotion and leaves a matte feel for a second than making your skin feel silky. I really am impressed with Neutrogena and there product, it has really seemed to protect, as far as aging I'm just assuming it's working if we're not getting burnt right? La protección es altísima (SPF 110), perfecta si pasas mucho tiempo al aire libre o quieres cuidar tu piel del envejecimiento prematuro. Lo que más me gusta es que no deja la piel grasosa ni brillosa, a pesar de tener un factor tan alto. Se siente ligero, se absorbe rápido y no deja manchas blancas. También es resistente al agua, lo cual es muy útil en días de calor o si sudas mucho. Lo uso todos los días en el rostro y he notado que mi piel se mantiene más pareja y protegida. Incluso debajo del maquillaje funciona muy bien. Pros: • Protección solar muy alta. • Textura ligera y sin grasa. • Resistente al agua (hasta 80 min). • Se absorbe rápido, sin residuos blancos. Contras: • El tamaño podría ser más grande por el precio. • Tiene un ligero aroma al aplicarlo, aunque desaparece rápido. En general, es un excelente protector solar facial, ideal para quienes buscan máxima protección sin sacrificar comodidad. Lo volvería a comprar sin duda.
