great road warrior tire!
so....I am about 220Lbs and ride a 53cm 700c bike on 700x23 tires. I average about 70 miles a week, with peaks of about 125 a week. I've gone through a thickslick, a couple of kendas and a gator duraskin.my front tire is a regular Seca RS with FPS tire and it's lasted me well over a year.so, when the sidewall blew out on my back tire, the Gator Duraskin, I started researching a triple layered tire with stronger sidewalls.I came across the duraskin Hardshell, the Specialized Armadillos and this Seca Survivor series. the Hardshell was $55, which I didn't feel like paying. the Armadillos are $45, but people say they hate the ride because they are built like bricks. These Seca Survivor tires had relatively few reviews, but the ones I saw were positive. Give the luck I've had with the slightly thinner RS tired, I decided on the $40 Survivor series tire for the back. This tire is thick all the way around. triple layered 60TPI casing makes this tire like a rock. The install went noticeably smoother than the Gator Duraskin. The first 100 miles or so we're pretty rough, no lie. I also noticed a slight loss of speed from the Duraskins. After the first 100 miles the ride improved considerably, and the speed loss has decreased.I love this tire, especially it's price. It performs well under pressure (up to 130psi) and has great grip. I am OK with the hit to my speed, because changing flats is much worse! Seca tires are well made and well priced.

120 kg tested
These are great tires. If you and your bike weight 120kg don't buy 85psi tires. Save your money and time and buy these. They roll better than my 26mm kenda kontenders. Also the serfas Tuono is a 100psi Tire that is good for 120kg too. It comes in a 32mm/38mm sizes at 100psi. I have 32mm tuono as well and it is a more comfortable ride than the survivor but a little more drag. That said they both roll really well.

Go flat free
Great tires if you want to avoid flats. Never had a flat yet with these while riding many miles. I ride 28's on my road bike to commute & feel bullet proof. I prefer these to the Armadillos on price.

Buy if you love to pop tubes
Oh boy, do you like to pop tubes? I sure do! That's why I bought me these fancy pants Seca Survivors. See, if you think that the title Survivors applies to the tire, you're wrong, it applies to you! YOU have to be the survivor, because these tires sure do love to let little things like glass through to your tubes! Oh, and don't forget that they don't come off easily, so you're bound to pop your tubes with tire levers, too! Boy oh boy, you'll sure be a survivor after having to deal with these bad larrys!Do yourself a favor, folks. Buy Gatorskin if you want to prevent punctures. The Survivors just don't cut it.

Bulletproof
I am heavy.I have rear tire at high pressure because of that.I ride hard. If HRM screams that I am slacking, I hammer.Other rear tires, I wear out at 1000-1500 miles on rear. This one gives me 2500+.A racer might find these too heavy.A big guy finds them a joy.

Say goodbye to flats!
My wife used these tires for 2 years (50-100mi/week) without a single flat! I know! Crazy!! Just bought another pair for her city commuter bike! Highly recommended.

Serfas survivors survived Cuba
Bought these for my wife because she wanted tough tires thatwould not flat in Cuba. Bike shops are almost non-existent in cuba, and these tires survived, zero flats, as opposed to my BontragerIntensives that flatted the first day, and then they also survivedour 8 days of loaded touring.
