Product description The Spartans are possibly the most famous fighting men in history, and rightly so! Spartan Hoplites were respected and feared throughout Greece, and it was long thought that no land power could stand against them. Lacedaemon, with Sparta as its capital, stood firm against the imperial ambitions of the Athenians. The Classical period saw the height of Sparta's power as well as its eventual downfall at the hands of the Thebans. This box allows you to build 40 Spartan Hoplites, wearing their distinctive Pilos helmets, long hair and characteristic beards. Also included is a sheet of waterside transfers with a selection of uniform lambda for the Hoplites' shields, and two sprues of arrows to further decorate your shields and bases. Now march on Athens and crush their oppressive democracy! Directions 1. Remove the miniatures from their packaging. 2. Follow the assembly instructions to attach the parts of each miniature. 3. Once assembled, paint the miniatures using your preferred painting techniques and colors. 4. Allow the paint to dry completely before handling or playing with the miniatures.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: i need to know what you mean by unassembled, do you mean they are in a bunch of little pieces, or you have to attach weapons and shields only.**
A: The miniature is unassembled. You have to attach, weapons, shields an the head. You can choose sword or spear as weapons. And you have a lot of types of heads to choose.

**Q: can you use super glue?**
A: Yes you can but recommend using a super glue made for models. Games workshop has one of the best and easiest to use.

**Q: Would these work for d&d?**
A: For context, most D&D minitures are between 25 and 32mm depending on helmets. I have some Skeleton Champions that are 32mm because their helmets have plumage. I also have a horde of 100 zombies that are around 25mm. These are great for simulating armies. 40 of these guys and say some of the romans or Auxillary troops on the other side would be a cheapish way to simulate two kingdoms in battle

**Q: where in the description does it say Unassembled?**
A: I do not believe that it says it in the product description on Amazon ... but it's common knowledge with all Warlord products, they require assembly and painting.  Here is what the description from my company (GCmini) says "This box allows you to build 40 Spartan Hoplites, wearing their distinctive Pilos helmets, long hair and characteristic beards.
