I have to write something to make the A....n review bot happy, which I think is ridiculous, considering I gave this item an excellent review

We needed an extra pair for our truck. These pliers are sturdy and great for fixing fence.

This is the 2nd time I've ordered these pliars! Due to nerve damage and swelling I can no longer open bottles of water or Cascade Ice. The pliars are perfect. They're light weight, strong and open wide enough to grab the lids. I now have 1 pair in the kitchen and 1 pair in the car. And I don't have to bother anyone. FYI -- I did buy a 2nd brand of pliars but they were so heavy that I couldn't keep them open with only 1 hand since my other hand holds the bottle. They're in the shop.

But getting it out of the packaging was a real treat.

Cee Tee Co. Combination Crescent Pliers are extremely durable and handy on almost everything from handyman, electrical, and mechanical fixes, etc.! I have used the Cee Tee Co. brand Pliers for years and I refuse to even use any other brand. I have a pouch that I attach to my belt to so that I always have my Pliers near and I use my Pliers all day long. You will regret your purchase of the Cee Tee Co. Brand Pliers! There are so many pliers out there that you could go bananas trying to decide. So many brands, sizes, styles, handle configurations, handle coatings......it goes on and on. I wanted a very basic, no frills slip joint plier like we could easily find 30 years ago. Now, the no frills basic plier is hard to find. When I discovered this one at Amazon I was very happy. It is exactly what I wanted. Crescent is a great name, been around forever and most know it for the adjustable wrenches. Tool quality is taken for granted when you buy a Crescent.

For over 75 years this is the only brand of plier I have bought. The reason is simple; they are cost effective and as good as competitors and almost always better. I have at least 3 sizes and the long ones are really hard to find as well as the one who disappears when you are not looking.

I purchased the 6 1/2" pliers. As compared to other brands they are fair or average. The fit and finish is nowhere near the quality of the "Forged in U.S.A." Craftsman brand pliers. The finish is NOT polished as shown in the picture. As they are new I have no idea how they will hold-up.

These pliers are shorter than they look. If you need 6.5 inch long pliers than these will work, but if you need longer, then they will be too short for you.

Endlich, nach zwei Fehlkäufen habe ich eine Slip-Joint Zange in der gewünschten Qualität gefunden. Cresent ist eigentlich ein amerikanischer Hersteller, lt. Verpackung wurde die Zange jedoch in China gefertigt. Die Qualität ist jedoch sehr ordentlich und die Funktion tadellos. Die Slip-Funktion ist gegeben, was mich jedoch am meisten freut ist, dass man den intergrierten Drahtschnieder tatsächlich verwenden kann. Ich habe Elektrodraht mit sehr dünner Litze schneiden können, das war bei anderen Slip-Joint Zangen unmöglich. Ich finde es ist ein sehr nices oldschool tool. Einfach, praktisch und vielseitig verwendbar. Das zweite ist schon aif dem Weg.
