This super shiny shot-peen anodized 35mm stem from Spank offers a short setup, with plenty of support on the bar clamp area and performs flawlessly. It's tough, moderately lightweight and offers good value, though it is only available in a 31.8mm diameter clamp. Built from a Micro Grain Refined alloy, which should make the stem harder and stronger, its forged and then CNC weight optimized - which means some of the excess weight is removed post forging. The stem is a four bolt clamp, which has chamfered edges to reduce any load on bars that may result in scratched that can lead to failure. It's 0Β° rise and 35mm in length(also available in 50mm) and 31.8 bar diameter. Whether you're bombin' down the mountain, racing to victory, or just cruising the trails and taking in the scenery, you're going to want a good stem to keep your bike under control. The Spank Spike Race 2 Stem is among the shortest available to better fit the latest generation of super long bikes and super wide bars. It features a wide and chamfered bar clamp that diffuses the clamping force and adds rigidity to the bar and stem interface. Built for the demands of rough and tumble mountain riding, this dependably durable stem gives an impressively responsive and rigid performance as you blaze from trail to trail. Equipped with a chamfered clamp, the Race 2 uses a four-bolt locking mechanism to maintain a tight and protective hold on your bar, while the steerer-end ensures a positive engagement with your forks. A zero rise-angle keeps your bar level for improved strength and poise. Shotpeen-finished and CNC weight-optimised, this tough stem is ideal for the tenacious all mountain and enduro rider. ## Features - HIGH-PERFORMANCE STEM: CNC weight optimized for 35mm bars. Turning feels snappier and more confident, and I don't feel so stretched out and uncomfortable. The actual stem is a really well made product. It's light but feels very solid, and the bolts seem to be of good quality. The logos on the sides look really nice. The front Spank logo, which I thought was just printed, too, when I bought it, is actually deeply laser-engraved, which is a nice touch and probably saves a small amount of weight if you care about that. Overall really happy with this stem and will probably buy more Spank products in the future. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Stem for a great price *by M***S on July 14, 2023* I bought this stem for my Ozark Trail Ridge project and I’m impressed with the build quality and its robustness. It was fairly easy to install although I had to double check my angles because there are no guide lines. *You might want to note the height difference between the Spoon stem and your current stem because this kit does not include spacers nor a top cap.As far as performance goes I notice a huge difference in maneuverability and control. The front end of the bike is much more nimble and easier to lift up.Overall I’m happy with the price, performance, and the way it looks. I highly recommend this Spoon stem if you’re looking for a cheaper stem to test out a stem length or you just want to save some money. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ High quality stem *by J***M on February 25, 2024* Installed to a rockshox recon on my hyper explorer. Feels nice and gets a good angle. Would recommend this. ## Frequently Bought Together - Spank Spike Race 2 Stem, 35mm or 50mm Burly 31.8 bar-clamp Zone - SPOON 60 Bar, 60R Black - Sumind 11 Pieces Bike Carbon Fiber Headset Spacer Bicycle 1-1/8 Inch 20 15 10 5 3 2 1 mm, 7 Size --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/105309152-spank-spike-race-2-stem-35mm-or-50mm-burly-31](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/105309152-spank-spike-race-2-stem-35mm-or-50mm-burly-31) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
